We recently found out we are pregnant with spontaneous (eek!!) all-girl quads (wish us luck!!). Anyway, both of us have always found girl names much harder to fall in love with than boy names (murphy’s law). Also, we are struggling because both of us speak multiple languages and want the names to flow semi-fluidly between them. He speaks Italian, I speak [name_m]German[/name_m], we live in NYC, and will probably have them enrolled in either Spanish or [name_u]French[/name_u] in school at some point. So, any suggestions you may have that fit our vibes would be greatly appreciated!!
Names we love:
[name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Ines[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], [name_u]Landry[/name_u]
Names we love but probably (although I could probably be convinced) won’t be using:
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
(mostly because we’re really feeling the two-syllable names for all four of them to be cohesive)
Wow Quads! Eeek! Ada and Ivy are both 3 letters so you could that as a theme between them! You could have Ada, Ivy and 2 of these:
Emy
Ida
Ren
Tia
Mia
Mea
Joy
Rae/Ray
Mae/Mai/May
Or Ada, Thea and 2 more names ending in a like
Mia
Maya
Mea
Tia
Pia
Olivia
Amelia
Jessica
Wrenna
Rayna
Georgia
Ophelia
And there is plenty more, I can’t list them all
Or you could have Ines, Thea and 2 more 4 letter names
June
Wren
Luna
Lily
Lola
Lara
Fern
Rose
Rain
Ellis and Landry are quite masculine names so you could add to that with 2 more names like that
Carter
Jordan
Logan
Sydney
Reese
Wren
Robin
I LOVE [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] together!! Maybe [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_u]Josie[/name_u], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] or [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] for the fourth?
[name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] “Maisie”
[name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_u]Josie[/name_u]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Bronte[/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Ines[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] make such beautiful sibling sets. They’re refined and elegant, both on their own and as a set. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is gorgeous too although I also quite like the idea of sticking with 2 syllable names for all four. Some other options:
Olivia
Maya
Ema
Eva
Remi
Gigi
Ella
Koa
Kia
Kai
Noa
Petra
Willa
Bela
Juno
Cleo
Tessa
Nessa
Leah
Flora
Alma
Jorja
Yasmin
Yara
From you list I absolutely love Ivy, Ada, Thea & Inez as quads (although Ivy and Inez both start with an I if that bothers you I would change probably Ivy)
[name_u]Four[/name_u] girls!? Congratulations, I can’t imagine what you’re going to have to go through. I love the idea of short first names for all of them. You already like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f], which I think are all gorgeous. What about [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] or [name_f]Mia[/name_f] for the fourth? I know that [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is very popular, but I think it’s very pretty, and I just think that [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] is just so pretty. I’m not really sure for middle names, but Im a fan of short firsts with long middles.
Any 4 out of [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Ines[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] would be lovely, (though not [name_f]Inez[/name_f] and [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] as they’re a bit alike). I’d just be wary of giving number 4 girl a ‘little sister’ name as I call it such as [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] (anything ending in ie/y or nicknamey) as their identity, reinforced by the name, becomes the perrenial sweet little add-on. I see this with twins often: eg [name_f]Vera[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. If the order is just reversed it equals out the names in an interesting way!
That is so amazing!
I like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], [name_f]Kendra[/name_f], [name_f]Janelle[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_u]Sasha[/name_u], [name_f]Annette[/name_f], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Jada[/name_f], [name_f]Racquel[/name_f], [name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Celine[/name_f], [name_f]Sandra[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Gia[/name_f], [name_u]Jordan[/name_u], [name_f]Leah[/name_f], [name_u]Lisa[/name_u], [name_f]Renee[/name_f], [name_f]Deanne[/name_f], [name_f]Leanne[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f]. Best of luck to you!!!
While there’s nothing wrong with sticking to 2 syllables for all, I don’t think you necessarily need to restrict yourself in this way for the siblings names to sound good together, so don’t necessarily discount a favorite if it’s longer or shorter.
Out of your current possible list I love [name_f]Ines[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] (though in this case I would pick either [name_f]Ines[/name_f] or [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and not both.)
I love the previous suggestions of [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], [name_f]Clio[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f], [name_f]Opal[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Wendy[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].
