Have two of the triplets names chosen. [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] (or [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f], still deciding on spelling) and [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]. Looking for what [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Girl #3 will be. I like the names [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] and [name_f]Selena[/name_f]… but hubby pointed out their initials would be LSD
I like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], however I have cousins who have recently used these names on their daughters. Also like [name_f]Violet[/name_f], but that’s my sister’s favourite baby name, and I don’t think she’d be impressed if I took it.
Any help would be much appreciated . I feel horrible I haven’t gotten baby girl #3’s name
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]! I think [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f], [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] (nn [name_f]Juno[/name_f]) sound super sweet!!!
Thank you for your suggestion I love each of them. Definitely some repeated names, which to me is a good thing. I can tell you guys have similar name tastes to me. I’m loving [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] and [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] atm. I was wondering do you think [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is too out there?
I think it’s ok to use an S name - they are triplets, so initials can be rearranged to DLS, DSL, LDS, SLD, SDL etc. I like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] best of the three S names, and think it goes well with [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] & [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f].
[name_m]How[/name_m] exciting to be expecting three little girls at once! Here are some suggestions based on the names you like.
[name_f]Selena[/name_f] could also be spelled [name_f]Celina[/name_f], if you want to avoid the “S” initial.
[name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] reminds me of [name_f]Corinna[/name_f], [name_f]Briana[/name_f], [name_f]Bryony[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] reminds me of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], Harlowe, [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] reminds me of [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] or [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] reminds me of [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], or [name_f]Honora[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] could lead to other “V” names: [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] or other flower names: [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] (since you also like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] maybe another “rose” name would work), [name_f]Azalea[/name_f], [name_f]Camellia[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] (as a nickname to something like [name_f]Liliana[/name_f] or [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] I think to match her sisters’ names)
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is sweet - I think [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] & [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] make it very wearable.
The next bit might be helpful if you find guidelines helpful for narrowing down options. I do, which is why I’m suggesting some. If you find that rules/restrictions put too much pressure on you or make you worry about getting things “right”, you should probably ignore it - no one needs extras stress when they’re preparing for triplets!
I do think [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Alisha[/name_f] is noticeably different from the other 2 names (first names with 2 ls, including one “el”, last names starting with C). Maybe if you want to use [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] you could pair it with [name_u]Connie[/name_u] or [name_f]Christine[/name_f] and use [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] or [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] with [name_f]Alisha[/name_f]?
If you decide not to go with Winifred, and want some help narrowing down choices, I like the idea of a ‘C’ first name with [name_f]Alisha[/name_f] (since her sisters will both have ‘C’ middle names). [name_f]Alisha[/name_f] has that lilting ‘l’, so maybe she wouldn’t need as many as her sisters in the first name to fit with them.
I think something like [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f],[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]/[name_f]Celestine[/name_f], Celandine, [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Camellia[/name_f], [name_f]Claribel[/name_f], [name_f]Carmela[/name_f], [name_u]Christobel[/name_u], [name_f]Clelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Consuelo[/name_f] would work well.
My favourite is [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], but I also like the idea of a name that doesn’t end in an ‘a’ sound (eg [name_f]Celestine[/name_f], [name_u]Christobel[/name_u] or [name_f]Consuelo[/name_f]), so the names fit together but all start and end differently (and because [name_f]Alisha[/name_f] ends in a). That said, -ia and -a do feel different as endings. I think I’m being a bit over-academic about it.
Not too much, I hope.
After all, they’ll be individuals as well as triplets and whatever names you give them will quickly feel like a natural set.
I enjoy playing with patterns, but it’s a bit esoteric, really. Most names you like will probably work together because you they’re linked by your taste.
I think it would be best to try to find a name you like that does not begin with anL or D and does not end with the long I sound of [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] or the short A sound of [name_f]Delilah[/name_f].
Names I think would work well are:
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f], [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] and …
