Help narrow down/rank my combos?

Name says it all, I’m trying to pick a name or two for twins (unknown gender). Here’s the names I have so far, any you particularly like or would rule out? I know, my style is all over the place. We have a tricky last name, it’s very identifiable so I won’t share it, but it starts with S (though we might change it to Z which is more traditional), two syllables, strong “add” ending sound.

[name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Johanna[/name_f] [name_f]Vinette[/name_f] (nn Jove/Jovie)
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_u]October[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f]
[name_u]Saro[/name_u] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]
[name_f]Morella[/name_f] Reverie/Fable (nn Mori)
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] October/Solstice (nn Lil)
[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] [name_u]Solstice[/name_u]

Some other names I love but haven’t made a combo out of: [name_f]Adamaris[/name_f], [name_u]Vesper[/name_u], [name_f]Amoret[/name_f], [name_f]Allene[/name_f], [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f], [name_f]Lenore[/name_f], [name_u]Echo[/name_u], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f], [name_u]Sable[/name_u]. Any suggestions are welcome!

I also considered [name_f]Morella[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] because of the literary relationship but I worry that it would be a bit much with all the L sounds (our last name also has one). What do you think?

Off the bat Alfreda Rosemary seems like a gem. I can see it pairing easily with Elspeth Lavendar (would likely have nn’s Allie and Ellie; and I also like it with Lyra Wildrose. Also even though I do mention Alfreda consider each of these combos a top 3 and actually see the other two going together :purple_heart:

I could see the middles October and Solstice pairing nicely, neither are really my style I’m
Not sure about the first names you put with them but those are the next that stood out to me.

Out of your list I love [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f] [name_u]Saro[/name_u] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] is my least favorite. I’m not really a big fan of alliterative names but does [name_f]Morella[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] sound good with your surname? The combo definitely isn’t bad.

[name_f]Amoret[/name_f] [name_u]Sable[/name_u]
[name_u]Echo[/name_u] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Allene[/name_f]
[name_u]Sable[/name_u] [name_f]Adamaris[/name_f]
[name_f]Lenore[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Allene[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]

A few thoughts:
-Lilith [name_u]Solstice[/name_u] is precious! However, it is a bit of a tongue twister.
-Lyra [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f] & [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] would make a great sib set. I love that they both fit into a botanical theme.
-Personally, I love the suggestion (Daisy Bluebell) made by the user above me! I think [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] would sound lovely with [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_u]Solstice[/name_u], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f], or [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f].
-Not a huge fan of [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] or [name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] but I love the middle names you chose for those names

Honestly, nothing really sounds good with my partner’s surname  some things just don’t clash as blatantly as others. I kept my name and we honestly might use my last name but I’d like to figure out something that works with his because there’s more of a cultural thing with his family name than mine has. I appreciate the suggestions! I like Daisy Echo/Echo Daisy!

[name_f]Morella[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f] and [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] are gorgeous

Alright some the combos I am most fond of are [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_u]October[/name_u], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f] (this name is popping up more and more!!), [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_u]Solstice[/name_u], and [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f]

[name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] sounds like it just flows to my ears but it doesn’t seem you have particular interest in two middle names so I don’t know if you would want to disregard that or not. Also, [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] and [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] seem like they would combine well together

I like [name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] [name_f]Vinette[/name_f] together.

[name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] immediately makes me think of pasta Alfredo…

[name_f]Morella[/name_f] and [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] sound like a beautiful pair for twins.
What about [name_f]Morella[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u] and [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f]?

[name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] :I’m sorry, but I personally think that name is reserved for grandmothers only I would never name a child that ,Rosemary as middle name is cute through

[name_f]Johanna[/name_f] [name_f]Vinette[/name_f] ,I find [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] ok,Vinette reminds me to much of Vinaigrette

[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] October,same like [name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]

[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Wildrose[/name_f] is beautiful

[name_u]Saro[/name_u] Valentine:I don’t like [name_u]Saro[/name_u] much,but [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] is cute as a middle

[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] Lavender:same like [name_u]Saro[/name_u] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]

Morella,Morwenna ,Adamaris,Amoret and [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] sound like witch names to me (I’m sorry,I’m just being honest),I like [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] through :joy:

Echo,Vesper and [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] just sound weird to me [name_u]Echo[/name_u] is literally a word,Vesper sound too similair too vespa to me and it means something like snacking in german,Lenor is the name of one of the most popular laundry detergents in [name_u]Germany[/name_u]

I don’t like Reverie,Fable and [name_u]Solstice[/name_u]

Allene,Ariadne ,Daisy and [name_u]Sable[/name_u] are beautiful

I suggest

[name_f]Allene[/name_f] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]
[name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Wildrose[/name_f]
[name_u]Sable[/name_u] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]
[name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] [name_f]Allene[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] [name_u]Solstice[/name_u] and [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f]!

Ohhhh so pretty

I really love [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_u]October[/name_u] and [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]

Honestly all of your combos are gems! I especially love [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Wildrose[/name_f], [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f], [name_u]Saro[/name_u] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] and [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_u]October[/name_u] ‘Lil’. [name_f]Morella[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] is beautiful and all the L sounds don’t break up the flow.

What about:

[name_f]Adamaris[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f]
[name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]
[name_u]Sable[/name_u] [name_f]Adamaris[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Amoret[/name_f]
[name_f]Allene[/name_f] [name_u]Sable[/name_u]
[name_f]Allene[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f]
[name_f]Allene[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] [name_u]Echo[/name_u]
[name_u]Echo[/name_u] [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]
[name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]

[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_u]October[/name_u] & [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_u]October[/name_u] & [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] [name_u]Solstice[/name_u]
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] & [name_f]Morella[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u] ‘Mori’
[name_u]Saro[/name_u] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] & [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f]
[name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] & [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] [name_f]Vinette[/name_f] ‘Jove/Jovie’
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_u]October[/name_u] & [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_u]Solstice[/name_u] ‘Lil’

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!

[name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]: [name_f]Lovely[/name_f]! I don’t think it’s at all a grandma name—all of those vintage names are back on trend anyway. [name_u]Alfie[/name_u], [name_f]Freda[/name_f], [name_u]Free[/name_u] could all be nicknames and I love them. I usually like names in the middle to be a different number of syllables than the first, but this is a gorgeous combo. You may also like [name_f]Althea[/name_f].

[name_f]Johanna[/name_f] [name_f]Vinette[/name_f]: I love both names, but I’m not super sure of the flow of them together. I do adore [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] and on our own list we have [name_f]Jovienne[/name_f] as a first name option. [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] is beautiful though. Maybe [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u] or [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] [name_u]Solstice[/name_u]?

[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_u]October[/name_u]: I love [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], but [name_u]October[/name_u] isn’t really for me. [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f] or [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] are stunning.

[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f]: Pretty, but not as dazzling as some of your other options.

[name_u]Saro[/name_u] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]: It’s interesting and flows well. Perhaps you’d like [name_f]Sari[/name_f] or [name_f]Sarai[/name_f]?

[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]: Gorgeous!

[name_f]Morella[/name_f] [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] is a little too sing-songy for me. [name_f]Morella[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u] is sweet, though [name_f]Morella[/name_f] isn’t one of my favorites of yours. [name_f]Morella[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] is too many l’s and r’s and eh’s for me.

[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] October/Solstice: I have always wanted to like [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], but it sounds so lispy to me when I hear it said aloud by pretty much everyone. It seems especially hard for some of my students for whom [name_f]English[/name_f] is a second language.

[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] [name_u]Solstice[/name_u]: The flow is nice on this and I do like [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f]. It’s very pretty.

I absolutely love [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] and we have [name_f]Vespertine[/name_f] on our list as an option. [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] is knocking my socks off right now.

The alternative A names are very pretty too. How about [name_f]Amoret[/name_f] [name_u]Sable[/name_u], [name_f]Adamaris[/name_f] [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], [name_f]Allene[/name_f] [name_u]Solstice[/name_u], and [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f].

[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] and [name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] are my favorites of your combos, but [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] may sound al little too close with their beginnings for twins.

[name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] and [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] I love together!
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] are stunning!

Ah, the witchy names are on purpose! Thanks for all the suggestions!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Here are my thoughts on your list:

[name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] Rosemary-It’s definitely different & I like the vintage vibe. But I just don’t know it sounds that pretty to me. [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] is such a clunky boy name (even though I kind of like it!), that it doesn’t translate that well to a feminine version in my opinion.

[name_f]Johanna[/name_f] Vinette-Oh, [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] is nice. It’s not a name usually on my radar, but it’s smart & pleasant & unexpected but well known. And pairing it w/a ‘V’ mn to get the nn [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] is really clever & fun.

[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] October-Neither name is quite my style, but a cool combo none the less. [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] is just a bit too frumpy for me, but I like it in theory, you know? I wouldn’t be at all disappointed to meet a little [name_f]Agnes[/name_f].

[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] Wildrose-Lyra is nice. Kind of feels mysterious & celestial, but it’s short & simple too. I like [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f] as a mn, but not sure about the flow here.

[name_u]Saro[/name_u] Valentine-I’ve never heard Saro…& I’m not quite sure how to pronounce it. I like the look of it. Especially w/Valentine.

[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] Lavender-That’s gorgeous!

[name_f]Morella[/name_f] Feverie/Fable-I like [name_u]Fable[/name_u] more. [name_f]Morella[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u] is really interesting.

[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] October/Solstice-I can’t get into [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]. I don’t even care about the dark meaning. [name_m]Just[/name_m] saying the ‘L’ & ‘th’ together is tricky.

[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] Solistice-Ooh, love it!

[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] & [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] would be amazing for twins. And you could even call them [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] & [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!

I’m imagining your last name as Strongbad lol. I really like [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Wilderose[/name_f] but it seems so different from your other choices! [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] [name_f]Vinette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] very cool!

Thank you! I think we’re more likely to use [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] in case of boy/girl twins. Haha our surname is very Slavic and the kind that wouldn’t pair well with a name like [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], if you know what I mean.
