My top three are [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Willa[/name_f].
Thanks! I think those are my top-3! I like [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] from your sig line too!
Thank you.
I voted for [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. I feel like they are all classic enough to make a good sibset.
I love [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
And i think [name_f]Anna[/name_f] isnt plain at all. Its hardly common anymore. I mean, whens the last time someone under 30 introduced themselves as [name_f]Anna[/name_f] when it wasnt short for something like [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] or [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f].
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is just adorable. Its really cute, a little more popular than the others but its such a beautiful name its not hard to see why.
[name_u]James[/name_u] & [name_u]Theo[/name_u] are two of my favorite classic boy names! My top three are [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. My absolute favorite is [name_f]Willa[/name_f] - it has a classic, vintage feel but is also unique. It’s light and pretty but also substantial. I also like [name_f]Anna[/name_f] but not as much as the others. I feel similarly to you about [name_f]Vera[/name_f] – I finally took it off my list deciding that I loved it in writing and something about it always grabs me but it may be a little harsh. Some others I like with [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]Theo[/name_u]:
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f] ([name_f]Callie[/name_f] or [name_f]Calla[/name_f])
Your friends and family have good taste! I would also have included [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Cate[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] & possibly [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] is gorgeous, not too plain at all and I think it fits best in the sibset. I love that [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] are honor names and are also my favorites on this list - both are cute and modern without sounding trendy.
[name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]Theo[/name_u] & [name_f]Willa[/name_f] are my favorite. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is my second choice.
My favs are:
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
I’ve been loving the simplicity of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] lately; such a wonderfully sweet name fit for a child, teenager and adult; ageless and timeless, can be “spiced up” with a longer middle name (a fellow [name_u]Berry[/name_u] had [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] on her list a while ago and that is one of the most wonderful pairings I’ve come across on here).
If you want to honour [name_m]William[/name_m], another idea would be [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f], due to the double -a ending, the combo sounds light and fresh even though [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] is often seen as older, maybe even a bit clunky (though not by me and usually not on NB).
The others I really like are [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] & [name_f]Louisa[/name_f].
Maurab - Thanks - I think we have very similar taste! I love all of your favorites too - I liked [name_f]Camille[/name_f]/[name_f]Camilla[/name_f] but DH didn’t. We both really liked [name_f]Neve[/name_f] but worried it was too similar to my sister’s daughter’s name, [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] I would definitely use if we could, and [name_f]Celia[/name_f] I had also considered (actually as an honor name / anagram for a Grandma ‘[name_f]Alice[/name_f]’ :))
Thanks everyone for all of your comments and feedback - it is really helpful!!!
These are my top 3 as well. Good luck!
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] would be my top choices, too. I don’t think [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is plain at all.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] or [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] would be good combos if you can’t decide.
If you have a family name that you like as a middle, I’d pair it with [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] as the first (like [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]). If you don’t have one, or you don’t care for them in the middle, and you want to honor with the first name, I’d go with [name_f]Anna[/name_f] or [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. All three are soft and not prone to many nicknames, so I think they would all be great.
