Our girl is already here (4 weeks old) and we are totally stuck ! Siblings are [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], and [name_m]Luke[/name_m] (those are given names, not shortened). We thought we had a “short list,” but none of them are right. I like short, timeless names, but am discovering I don’t like names with less than three sounds ([name_f]Anne[/name_f] has two, whereas [name_f]Kate[/name_f] has three, even though both are one syllable, for example). To give you an idea of our failed shortlist, some examples are [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] (too soft sounding??), [name_f]Emma[/name_f] (too popular?), [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] or [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (too frilly?), [name_u]Reese[/name_u] or [name_f]Elle[/name_f] (too modern?), [name_f]Claire[/name_f] (don’t like the “r” ending). [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] are out. Help!!!
