Help! Need opinions

Ok so I’ve never posted on any site ever before but we are totally stumped for a girls name! We are big into nicknames possibly due to a longer last name. So here is our list any comments suggestions are wanted. MN will be [name]Agnes[/name], older brother [name]Samuel[/name] goes by [name]Sammy[/name]

  • [name]Margaret[/name] nn [name]Greta[/name]- husband wants just [name]Greta[/name] but I can’t come up with a nn for [name]Greta[/name]
  • [name]Emeline[/name] nn [name]Emme[/name]- too popular?
  • [name]Charolette[/name]- needs a nn but no [name]Charlie[/name] already have one in the family
  • [name]Kensington[/name] nn Kensie
  • [name]Jacqueline[/name] nn [name]Jacques[/name]
  • [name]Juliette[/name] nn Juls
  • [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Elle[/name]-[name]Ellie[/name]-[name]Nora[/name]- too popular
  • [name]Madeline[/name] nn [name]Maddie[/name]

I am a research junkie and have probably over thought all of these opinions please!

[name]Welcome[/name] to Nameberry!!

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Kensington[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name]!!

I do like [name]Greta[/name], but not [name]Margaret[/name].

[name]Charolette[/name]: [name]Lottie[/name]??

All the rest are NMS (not my style)

My husband loves [name]Greta[/name] but I’m not sold on [name]Greta[/name] and [name]Samuel[/name] as a sib set. Also I can’t come up with a nickname.

I like [name]Charolette[/name] with a nickname of lettie, but [name]Charlotte[/name] is really popular right now. I like [name]Eleanor[/name] best with [name]Samuel[/name], but not with the middle name [name]Agnes[/name]. [name]Jacqueline[/name] sounds best with [name]Agnes[/name], but I think [name]Jackie[/name] would be a more realistic nickname or even [name]Linnie[/name], I just don’t think a little girl will want to be called [name]Jacques[/name], sorry.

  • [name]Margaret[/name] nn [name]Greta[/name]- I like this, though I like [name]Greta[/name] better. It doesn’t need a nickname, it’s short enough on its own. Too much g with [name]Agnes[/name].
  • [name]Emeline[/name] nn [name]Emme[/name]- I think this is too popular. [name]Don[/name]'t care for it.3
  • [name]Charolette[/name]- A good nickname would be [name]Lotte[/name] or [name]Lottie[/name]. This would be a good sister for [name]Samuel[/name], and a good first for [name]Agnes[/name].
  • [name]Kensington[/name] nn Kensie- No. I don’t like this at all.
  • [name]Jacqueline[/name] nn [name]Jacques[/name]- [name]Jacques[/name] is too much as a nickname. [name]Jackie[/name] would be cute.
  • [name]Juliette[/name] nn Juls- Not a fan of the fanciful spelling. Simple [name]Juliet[/name] would be nicer. Juls ([name]Jules[/name]?) would be cute. Goes well with [name]Agnes[/name]
  • [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Elle[/name]-[name]Ellie[/name]-[name]Nora[/name] - This is my favorite with [name]Samuel[/name]. [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] sounds nice, and fits the sibset well. A real winner.

[name]Hope[/name] that helps!

  • [name]Athena[/name]
  • [name]Madeline[/name] nn [name]Maddie[/name]

Out of your list I like:

  • [name]Margaret[/name] nn [name]Greta[/name]
  • [name]Emeline[/name] nn [name]Emme[/name]
  • [name]Charolette[/name]- what about [name]Lola[/name], [name]Lottie[/name], [name]Carly[/name], [name]Cara[/name]?
  • [name]Juliette[/name] nn Juls
  • [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Elle[/name]-[name]Ellie[/name]-[name]Nora[/name]
  • [name]Madeline[/name] nn [name]Maddie[/name]

[name]Margaret[/name] nn [name]Greta[/name]- husband wants just [name]Greta[/name] but I can’t come up with a nn for [name]Greta[/name]

[name]Greta[/name] doesn’t really need a nn, it’s already short, but I could see [name]Gigi[/name] from letter G (especially with another G in [name]Agnes[/name]). [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] has great flow, [name]Greta[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] doesn’t and [name]Margaret[/name] opens up so many other nickname doors besides [name]Greta[/name]. Check initial spelling (goes for all of these names) with your last name. With an A middle name you could get some MAD, GAS, etc. You seem to lot a lot of French names. [name]Marguerite[/name]? Gets you nn [name]Rita[/name] then too, and [name]Daisy[/name] even more intuitively than for [name]Margaret[/name].

  • [name]Emeline[/name] nn [name]Emme[/name]- too popular? I think it’s fine. I think this will have spelling difficulites. I like it with [name]Agnes[/name].

  • [name]Charolette[/name]- needs a nn but no [name]Charlie[/name] already have one in the family - This honestly just seems so destined for confusion with [name]Charlotte[/name], I’d encourage you to look elsewhere unless it’s “the one”.

  • [name]Kensington[/name] nn Kensie -waaaay more trendy than your average taste or [name]Samuel[/name], or [name]Agnes[/name]. I say, resist the urge.

  • [name]Jacqueline[/name] nn [name]Jacques[/name] - love it!

  • [name]Juliette[/name] nn Juls - Quite nice and you can also do [name]Ettie[/name].

  • [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Elle[/name]-[name]Ellie[/name]-[name]Nora[/name]- too popular - [name]Eleanor[/name]? or [name]Ellie[/name]? There’s also [name]Nell[/name]/[name]Nellie[/name]. A great upstanding name. [name]Helena[/name], [name]Helene[/name], [name]Helen[/name]?

  • [name]Madeline[/name] nn [name]Maddie[/name] - love it! [name]Madeleine[/name] seems even more French. [name]Madeleine[/name] to me makes [name]Lena[/name] sort of possible.

[name]Vivienne[/name]
[name]Violette[/name]
[name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Adrienne[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Valentine[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Seraphine[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Eulalie[/name]
[name]Nicolette[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]

Good luck!
