[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone. We are currently expecting number 3 and won’t find out the gender. We have a daughter called [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (I loved the name many years ago before it was super popular and stuck with it even though it bothered me a bit it had become so popular) and [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] [name_m]Travis[/name_m] ([name_m]Travis[/name_m] is a family name).
We think we’ll use [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] if it’s a boy (which has family significance as we have a lot of relatives who live in [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m], [name_f]England[/name_f]. We are in Australia) but are really struggling with girl names.
I tend to like classic, traditional names which aren’t out of place today. I wouldn’t mind if the name is in the top 100 but would love to avoid the top 10! My hubby generally agrees but has vetoed a few of mine he thinks are ‘old lady’ names.
Here is our list:
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] ( Not good to have to girls with A names?)
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] (hubby hates)
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] (hubby hates)
Any other suggestions? Our last name is 3 syllables so it would be great to avoid a 3 syllable first name I guess… unfortunately I seem to like 3 syllable names!
Thanks for your input
Thank you! I think our naming trends are pretty similar to [name_f]England[/name_f] and a lesser extent [name_u]America[/name_u]. Lots of Charlottes, Olivias, Emilys and Sophies.
I really like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] but do you think it would be too similar to [name_f]Ava[/name_f]?
I love [name_f]Lila[/name_f] too but hubby isn’t so keen.
