We were very blessed to find out that our first child is going to be a boy. We were both ecstatic since we always wanted our oldest to be a boy but now we are having problems trying to think of the perfect name! We are looking for something masculine and unique. Nothing too off the wall but something that you don’t hear often but at the same time doesn’t sound made up. We don’t really have any family names to carry on, other then DH middle name is [name_u]James[/name_u] and he wants to use that somehow. [name_u]James[/name_u] is the middle name of his father and grandfather and then it is also the first name of his other grandfather and uncle.
What do you all think of [name_u]Jameson[/name_u]? We are leaning towards something like [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m]. It’s a slight twist on [name_u]James[/name_u] while being unique. The nicknames are endless too: [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]Jay[/name_u], [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] or we could call him by his middle name [name_m]Cole[/name_m].
If we don’t go with [name_u]Jameson[/name_u], then most likely we will want the middle name to be [name_u]James[/name_u]. Does anybody have any suggestions??
I certainly like the sound of [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] better than [name_u]James[/name_u], although I prefer it in the middle spot as a modernized [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_u]James[/name_u] is overdone in the middle and very expected, so [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] is refreshing.
I think it is a tad boring as a first, although nothing wrong with it.
I love [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] with the nickname [name_u]Jay[/name_u] too! I thinks its super cute!
The top middle name I like with [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] is [name_u]Lee[/name_u]. I hope you find the perfect name.
