I love the name [name]Colette[/name] but my Husband doesn’t think it sounds like a “jewish girls name”. Though I might agree, I don’t think [name]Penelope[/name] does either if we are going by that logic ([name]Penelope[/name] is his favorite). We are clearly not using Hebrew origin by our list of names, but I was hoping to get opinions on this list and see your thoughts.
Thanks!
I would go with [name]Celia[/name] or [name]Colette[/name]. I think both of those names are lovely and classy. [name]Penelope[/name] feels really overdone to me, and [name]Cayla[/name] and [name]Peyton[/name] are just too trendy right now (in my opinion).
I know what you mean about names not sounding Jewish… we ended up with one that did ([name]Asher[/name]) and one that didn’t ([name]Bettina[/name]). Oh well.
Honestly, if you are looking for a Jewish name, then I don’t think any of them sound Jewish. My favorites from your list are definitely [name]Celia[/name], [name]Colette[/name] & [name]Penelope[/name]. [name]Cayla[/name] is too tryndee and is started to sound dated, while [name]Peyton[/name] is uber masculine.
When I look at your list, it seems like you have two different sets mixed together. [name]Celia[/name], [name]Colette[/name], and [name]Penelope[/name] “go” together, as do [name]Cayla[/name] and [name]Peyton[/name] (sort of). My favorite from your list is [name]Colette[/name], followed by [name]Celia[/name]. Good luck!
