[name_m]Hi[/name_m]. I’m expecting my third child , and i don’t know the sex yet. My hubby wants a royal name ,so we are thinking about [name_u]Reign[/name_u] (I like it ,but isn’t a bit too pretentious?) ,for a boy and [name_u]Royal[/name_u] (i hated)for a girl and he says he’s ok with [name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
Our older kids names are :
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_u]Bentley[/name_u] (2) and [name_f]Aleeah[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (1)
I knew a boy named [name_u]Reign[/name_u]. [name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds very pretty.
Some boys names that have a classic royal feel:
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_m]Charles[/name_m]
[name_m]Edgar[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_m]Philip[/name_m]
[name_f]Raina[/name_f] nicknamed rain … [name_f]Reina[/name_f] or Raena
[name_f]Jada[/name_f] nn jade
I really like [name_f]Briar[/name_f] but not with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] in the middle since briar ends in r.
[name_f]Starla[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Farrah[/name_f]
Boy: [name_u]Micah[/name_u], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] nickname leo, leon, knox, etc
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m], [name_m]Adriel[/name_m], [name_m]Reuben[/name_m], [name_m]Luther[/name_m] or [name_m]Lucan[/name_m]/[name_m]Lukan[/name_m] nn [name_u]Lucky[/name_u]
[name_m]Dante[/name_m], [name_m]Maxim[/name_m], [name_m]Maximus[/name_m], [name_m]Silvan[/name_m]/[name_m]Sylvan[/name_m] nn silver
[name_m]Caius[/name_m] / [name_m]Kaius[/name_m] aka kai … [name_u]Elias[/name_u] or [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] … [name_m]Vincent[/name_m]
He wants a name that sounds like royalty, just like [name_u]Reign[/name_u] and [name_u]Royal[/name_u]. He wanted [name_m]King[/name_m], but it is my dog’s name . I’m pretty sure it’s a boy.
I agree that [name_u]Reign[/name_u] and [name_u]Royal[/name_u] are too pretentious, especially since your older kids’ names aren’t along those lines at all. (Also, because of The [name_u]Royal[/name_u] Tenenbaums, [name_u]Royal[/name_u] is a masculine name to me, though that may not be the case for everyone.) Of the names you mention, I think [name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] fits the best by far with your children’s names, though I’d be hesitant to use two florals in one name.
He wants a name that sounds like royalty, just like [name_u]Reign[/name_u] and [name_u]Royal[/name_u]. He wanted [name_m]King[/name_m], but it is my dog’s name . I’m pretty sure it’s a boy.
I hated [name_u]Royal[/name_u] , it reminds me of Lorde’s song. I really like [name_u]Reign[/name_u], I was going to name Aleeah like this , but spelling R-A-I-N,which sounds more like a girl
I don’t think [name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] fits in with your childrens’ names much. Both your kids have names that end in the -ah sound, and they seem much more common than [name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
Some names that came to mind for a girl:
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_f]Isabela[/name_f]
[name_f]Margo[/name_f] or [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
Some names that came to mind for a boy:
[name_u]Kingsley[/name_u]
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_u]Micah[/name_u] (Hebrew version of [name_u]Michael[/name_u])
Here are some names of biblical royalty:
[name_m]David[/name_m]
[name_f]Bathsheba[/name_f]
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m]
[name_m]Darius[/name_m]
[name_m]Uriah[/name_m]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] or [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f]
[name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
I think [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] or [name_u]Micah[/name_u] would work for a boy, and possibly [name_m]Uriah[/name_m] for a girl.
I prefer [name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] over [name_u]Royal[/name_u].
I like [name_u]Reign[/name_u] for a boy or girl, but I like the suggestion from @ashleyjuliette [name_f]Reina[/name_f] for a girl.
