These surprise Twin girls are due [name_u]March[/name_u] 1! & I do mean surprise! my youngest is 13.
We are pretty set on the name [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], (popular I know) we will use [name_f]Meli[/name_f] as a nn if we choose to use one. [name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl B will be named Hyla after my deceased mother in law who died when my husband was 17, long ago. Our last name is 3 syllables.
I prefer [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and Hyla [name_f]Joy[/name_f] but My husband prefers Hyla [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] or [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] or [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] (family name).
So Please vote or weigh in.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] /Hyla [name_f]Joy[/name_f] OR
I really like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], but I feel that it’s very mis-matched with Hyla. What about Hayla and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]? Or [name_f]Hayley[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]?
As far as middle names go, I like Hyla/Hayla [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f].
Best of luck and congratulations!
All of your options sound great, but I would choose [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and Hyla [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. This way, [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] will have a less-common middle in case she ever wants to go by that in the future. Same thing for Hyla, so she can have a more-common middle for the same reason.
Hyla and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] are beautiful names, and being slightly mismatched could encourage individuality for twins, which is nice.
I like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and Hyla [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. If you switch the two mn it leaves one Girl with 2 super popular names and the other with 2 familiar but very uncommon names. A little unfair (for both girls).
I’m not a fan of [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] - but I’m from Australia which probably makes a difference.
[name_f]Happy[/name_f] decision making!
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is beautiful! While I like the thought of using a family name Hyla is rather mismatched with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and it leaves [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] without a family connection. If [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a family name maybe go with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and use Hyla in the mn spot for baby girl b?
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] Hyla and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] would be pretty!
[name_f]Ayla[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] would also be pretty!
Good luck!
I have never heard Hyla before, but it is adorable! I just want to add, I have a twin, and if she had a very uncommon name while mine was super popular, I would be extremely jealous. Also, if only one of us had an “honor name,” we would probably have been upset about that! That being said, if you love [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], don’t give up on it. It is beautiful. Perhaps give her an honor name too and Hyla a common middle in case she wants to “blend in” a bit once she is older. Congrats to you!
