I am expecting my first child this [name_f]May[/name_f] and I am stuck on girl names that don’t flow well with our last name. My top 2 names are [name_u]Fallon[/name_u] and [name_f]Maren[/name_f]. They are they only ones I have found that I genuinely like. Our last name is [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]. Are these names too rhyme-y? I like [name_u]Fallon[/name_u] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]. [name_u]Haven[/name_u]'t decided on a middle name for [name_f]Maren[/name_f].
I don’t think they’re too rhyme-y at all!
[name_u]Fallon[/name_u] and [name_f]Maren[/name_f] are both really cool name! I don’t think they flow well with the last name [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] though. [name_m]How[/name_m] about…?
[name_f]Mara[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]
[name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]
Some other suggestions are:
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]
Good luck on your name search!
I don’t think they are too rhymey. And, for a girl, her ln might not be [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] forever. My married name rhymes, so you might not choose the name you want & she could end up rhyming anyways like I did. It doesn’t sound bad, so pick the name you love.
I think the names could work as is, but if this is bothering you, here are some alternatives:
[name_f]Mallory[/name_f]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u]
[name_u]Darby[/name_u]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]
[name_f]Maris[/name_f]
[name_u]Flannery[/name_u]
[name_u]Campbell[/name_u]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_u]Kerry[/name_u]
[name_f]Kylie[/name_f]
[name_u]Riley[/name_u]
I don’t find them too rhyme-y at all! I actually knew a girl with that last name named Br!tton, which is similar to the names you’ve chosen (2 syllables, ends in N). I’ve known people with much worse flow who have done fine.
It sounds a bit awkward when said out loud, but it’s not the end of the world. Though I will say that when said out loud [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] makes me think of marinara sauce…
I think it flows well!
[name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f]
[name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
I really like [name_u]Fallon[/name_u]! So spunky and cool. I don’t think it’s too rhymey at all - [name_f]Maren[/name_f] isn’t too rhymey either, and it’s sweet! I just prefer [name_u]Fallon[/name_u]
