[name]Eleanora[/name]

nice list

[name]Magnolia[/name]- a daring name with a lot of plainer nickname options like [name]Maggie[/name] or [name]Molly[/name]. It feels southern. Can skew perky & cute or darker & sensual
[name]Lillian[/name]- Pretty, a little dusty, makes me think of victorian wall paper, cabbage roses, it does feel a bit boring like [name]Claire[/name] or [name]Grace[/name], pretty, vintage, not uncommon
[name]Primrose[/name]- Too prim, too Everdeen
[name]Cordelia[/name]- I love this name. It feels a little stuffy but spunky at the same time.
[name]Margot[/name]?[name]Margo[/name]?[name]Margaux[/name]?- [name]Love[/name] it. [name]Margaux[/name] I dislike as it feels less down-to-earth. I love the sound though.
[name]Beatrice[/name]- I love this name. It’s very uncommon vintage classic.
[name]Gwyneth[/name]- I am not at fan of -th endings they feel lispy & awkward to me. This is one of the prettier ones. Gwedolyn or [name]Guenevere[/name] are nice
[name]Calliope[/name]- I love it. It feels so sparkly. I love just [name]Calla[/name] as well.
[name]Dorothea[/name]- do you say it like [name]Dorothy[/name] or [name]Dora[/name]-thee-uh? I am not sure. I think it’s ok. I really like [name]Theodora[/name]
[name]Eleanora[/name]- Pretty, I really like [name]Eleanore[/name].

[name]Love[/name]:
[name]Magnolia[/name]- pretty and sweet, Southern belle-esque. it makes me think of the flowers, so colour: bright pink
[name]Cordelia[/name]- gorgeous, dramatic, powerful, strong. feminine but not flimsy. one of my favourites names. colour: deep blue
[name]Beatrice[/name]- elegant, grounded, proper. upper-class-British feel. colour: deep maroon or wine
[name]Calliope[/name]- spunky and fun, unique but totally wearable. colour: soft gold, pearl or off-white

Like:
[name]Primrose[/name]- floral, refreshing and unique. colour: light pink
[name]Margot[/name]- this is the only spelling that feels right to me. prim, proper, vintage-chic. makes me think of [name]Anne[/name] [name]Frank[/name]'s sister. colour: amber, bronze, or russet
[name]Eleanora[/name]- nice, but I prefer [name]Eleanor[/name]- the “a” seems superfluous here. colour: cinnamon

Dislike:
[name]Lillian[/name]- sweet and demure, warm and sunny. colour: bright yellow or orange
[name]Gwyneth[/name]- doesn’t seem ver feminine to me. unusual but rather tied to [name]Gwyneth[/name] Paltrow. colour: golden yellow
[name]Dorothea[/name]- a bit too stodgy and outdated for me, sorry. colour: light blue

Magnolia - bright violet and soft pink, fun and bold
Lillian - muted pink, loving, traditional
Primrose - pastel purple, quirky
Cordelia - peachy/rose colored, lady-like
Margot?Margo?Margaux? - purple, moody
Beatrice - yellow, fun but not spontaneous
Gwyneth - pastel green, genuine, go-getter
Calliope - pink, fun, carefree
Dorothea - earth tones, serious but down to earth
Eleanora - golden, mellow

[name]Magnolia[/name] - I think of the tree: love, fidelity, sweetness, light bright pink, beauty and dignity.
[name]Lillian[/name] - soft yellow. A very mild name, and feminine without frills.
[name]Primrose[/name] - sweet, tender, cheerful and healing. A light sweet pink.
[name]Cordelia[/name] - purple, like lilacs. A bit depressing and dull, but beautiful.
[name]Margot[/name] - the orange of the autumn leaves. kind, sweet and spirited.
[name]Beatrice[/name] - dark velvety red. Very romantic and melancholy.
[name]Gwyneth[/name] - pale sea blue/green. Sweet, kind, healthy and generous.
[name]Calliope[/name] - light forest green. Musical, sweet and pretty.
[name]Dorothea[/name] - bright pink, like roses painted on porcelain.
[name]Eleanora[/name] - royal blue. a slightly bored name (not boring though), serious and above it all.

Magnolia - Fresh and sweet. alternative to [name]Margaret[/name]. [name]Maggy[/name] works as a nn.
Lillian - [name]One[/name] of my favorite vintage names. [name]Lillian[/name] is on my short list of great names. Light and yet substantial.
Primrose - I can’t warm up to this name. The prim in it bothers me as a it makes me think of someone prim and proper. It feels dark and mean to me.
Cordelia - I like the formality of this name with its nn potential. But it sounds harsh to me.
[name]Margot[/name]?Margo?[name]Margaux[/name]? - Great name. My favorite spelling is the straightforward [name]Margo[/name]. It seems very spunky.
Beatrice - this a wonderful vintage name. I like the soft ending sound and the nn [name]Bea[/name]. To me it is light name with energy
Gwyneth - This is my favorite variation of [name]Gwen[/name]/[name]Gwyn[/name] names and I like the Gw sound. This name would make my list as well. It is neither light nor dark… Somewhat mysterious and maybe leftish.
Calliope - I am not sure why, but I have never warmed up to this name. I feels shallow to me.
Dorothea - This is a strong solid name and I think of a woman who is quite accomplished. [name]Thea[/name] is a great nn.
Eleanora - I prefer the [name]Eleanor[/name] or [name]Elinor[/name]. The a on the end seems superfluous. However, I find this a light, sweet name.

[name]Magnolia[/name] like. Exotic but recognizable. I love the flowers, beautiful, stately, luxurious. i think sweet, well mannered, ivory and rose. My faveriot nn’s are [name]Nola[/name] and Gally.
[name]Lillian[/name] makes me think of an older business woman. Serious, formal, nms
[name]Primrose[/name] like but hard to imagine on a woman. I see a serious young girl, who wears dresses, has her hair tied in ribbons, daydreams and reads poetry. I see late summer golds and azure blues.
[name]Cordelia[/name] Ok. [name]Don[/name]'t like the nn cord/[name]Cordy[/name] or [name]Delia[/name], [name]Della[/name] is OK. I a see popular, slightly alternative teenager. Intelligent and opinionated, but beautiful. [name]Long[/name] dark hair, tall, perhaps musical. I think deep blues, greens and purples.
[name]Margot[/name]?[name]Margo[/name]?[name]Margaux[/name]? Ok. I see [name]Lilac[/name], and pearls.
[name]Beatrice[/name] prefer [name]Beatrix[/name]. [name]Adore[/name] the nn [name]Bea[/name] and [name]Trixie[/name]. [name]Happy[/name], bright, a little reserved and shy among strangers. [name]Rosy[/name] pinks.
[name]Gwyneth[/name] nms. I think pale, poised, serious. White.
[name]Calliope[/name] funny, bright, beachy, a swimmer. Sand and sun. [name]Silver[/name] and gold.
[name]Dorothea[/name]. Nms. I think older woman, frilly, sweet, [name]Lavender[/name], embroidery, caramels. Prefer [name]Theodora[/name].
[name]Eleanora[/name][/QUOTE] again I prefur [name]Eleanor[/name]. I think reds and russets. A dancer, slender, smart, musical.

Um, I love them all?

[name]Magnolia[/name]- I love flower names and this unusual enough to be quirky without being confusing. Also, if she decided she wanted something more mainstream [name]Maggie[/name] is nice option.
[name]Lillian[/name]- this my least favorite but it’s only because I’ve known some unpleasant [name]Lilian[/name].
[name]Primrose[/name]- so pretty but I’d worry about the Hunger Games connotations
[name]Cordelia[/name]- [name]Adore[/name]!
[name]Margot[/name]?[name]Margo[/name]?[name]Margaux[/name]?- I’d use [name]Margo[/name] since it’s the least likely to cause confusion
[name]Beatrice[/name]- People tend to swallow this name when they talk. I think [name]Beatrix[/name] works better because people actually say the second syllable.
[name]Gwyneth[/name]- So linked to Paltrow. I’d use a different spelling or variant
[name]Calliope[/name]- So pretty but it also seems like the stylistic outlier.
[name]Dorothea[/name]- Pretty and has two solid nick names.
[name]Eleanora[/name]- Check your area. [name]Eleanor[/name]/[name]Ellie[/name] is oddly common on my local playground.

[name]Magnolia[/name]: very pretty, with cute nn like [name]Maggie[/name] and [name]Noli[/name] and [name]Mia[/name]. I think it’s a great unusual flower name
[name]Lillian[/name]: I’ve always liked this name. Great way to get [name]Lilly[/name]. It sounds delicate and feminine.
[name]Primrose[/name]: I agree with a previous poster - too Everdeen. It sound too fantasy-ish imo too.
[name]Cordelia[/name]: Really like this, though I’ve recently preferred [name]Cornelia[/name]. But I like [name]Cordelia[/name] for it’s original formality, but with lighthearted nn [name]Delia[/name].
[name]Margot[/name]?[name]Margo[/name]?[name]Margaux[/name]?: I like this name, it’s simple yet not overly common. I prefer [name]Margot[/name] for spelling, because it is a happy medium of the normal [name]Margo[/name] and the somewhat out there [name]Margaux[/name].
[name]Beatrice[/name]: Eh. This name has grown on me just from being on Nameberry, but I still don’t love it. It still sounds kind of stuffy.
[name]Gwyneth[/name]: I think Paltrow, but I like [name]Gwyneth[/name] Paltrow, so I guess it’s a good association. Sounds a like stuffy, but otherwise very nice.
[name]Calliope[/name]: I love this!!! so refreshing and light and airy. Makes me think of someone really creative and bubbly.
[name]Dorothea[/name]: Sounds like a princess in a fairy tale, honestly. I prefer [name]Dorothy[/name]. Although both sound a little dated.
[name]Eleanora[/name]: I really like this. It sounds like a fresh spin on [name]Eleanor[/name] with cute nn [name]Nora[/name] or [name]Ellie[/name]. Very cute! Makes me think of a preppy girl who’s very nice and liked by everyone.

[name]Magnolia[/name]- spring, in particular, [name]April[/name], baby yellow, sweet, friendly
[name]Lillian[/name]- light green, spring ([name]May[/name]), sweet, youthful
[name]Primrose[/name]- rosy pink, [name]July[/name], bitter sweet, but stuffy.
[name]Cordelia[/name]- navy blue, serious, but beautiful, winter, [name]January[/name]
[name]Margo[/name] and all her variants- [name]January[/name], sweet, [name]Margaux[/name] seems more grown up
[name]Beatrice[/name]- yellow-organe, [name]September[/name], sweet, the nickname [name]Birdie[/name] seems more [name]June[/name] and sweet, youthful
[name]Gwyneth[/name]- [name]Green[/name], [name]April[/name], serious
[name]Calliope[/name]- a periwinkle color, [name]May[/name], sweet, quirky
[name]Dorothea[/name]- blue, stuffy but sweet, winter, February
[name]Eleanora[/name]- rich red and green, burgundy, [name]December[/name], beautiful, elegant
