My husband and I have the hardest time agreeing on boy names! Sure enough we’re expecting our second son. We used our favorite boy names the first time around - Aust1n F0rd. My husband wants a “strong” name. I’m not even sure what that means.
Here is our maybe list.
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] - too trendy?
[name_m]Gavin[/name_m] - don’t love but it’s ok.
[name_m]Franklin[/name_m] - too vintage compared to [name_m]Austin[/name_m]
[name_m]Edison[/name_m] - there’s much debate on edison’s ethics
[name_m]Jonah[/name_m] - too biblical
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m] - good meaning husband is so so on
[name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - husband doesn’t like but I love
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] - word name? (Last name is also a word name)
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] - too trendy? we know several little boys named this
[name_u]Hunter[/name_u] - alliterative with our H last name
[name_m]William[/name_m] - too popular - honor name
[name_u]Max[/name_u] - Husband says is too short but doesn’t like [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_m]Brendan[/name_m] - neither of us love but is a mash up/honor name
We also like these names but can’t use : [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], [name_m]Harvey[/name_m], [name_m]Harrison[/name_m].
Any suggestions??? I want a name we love as much as our first son’s. His name is meaningful to us in abstract ways.
Of the names on your list I like [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m], and [name_m]William[/name_m]. I don’t think [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] are too trendy. The following names are alternatives to the ones on your list:
