Help! Past my due date and still no name!

My husband are having trouble deciding on a name and we need help! We are hoping to use a family name for the middle name…either [name_m]William[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u], or [name_m]Raymond[/name_m]. Our last name is rather popular, so we are hoping for something unique, but not too “out there.” We are planning on waiting to see his face before we make our final decision, but I’d like to narrow this list down to no more than 5 names. Here are some of the contenders:

[name_m]Asher[/name_m] (nn. [name_u]Ash[/name_u]. Is it really that popular? I don’t know any children with this name, but we are worried it is starting to become really common).

I like [name_m]Asher[/name_m], great meaning too, and I don’t know anyone with this name. It’s also a nice character in The Giver, so a literary connection (same with [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] actually, from The Giver) and my other favorite from your list. The nn [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] is great too.
