I have a son called [name_m]Edward[/name_m]. But we call him Ted/[name_u]Teddy[/name_u]. That is also the name he prefers for himself.
I’m pregnant with a number 2, who is due today!!! I’ve had no signs of labour and I’m sure it’s because I don’t know what to call her and my body is holding on.
Our next baby will be a much loved girl.
We really like the names [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] and [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f]. [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] is the favourite at the moment.
However, I would also very much like nickname [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]. I think it’s really cute. But I don’t like [name_u]Lou[/name_u]- beginning names enough for the first name on the birth cert.
Any tips or middle names tp help me get from [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] to [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]?
That would be the obvious solution. But I’m not sure [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] flows very well, which is why I’m canvassing for alternative ideas.
Thank you everyone. I’ll check to see what my other half thinks of [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. I also love [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Lunetta[/name_f].
I’ve not seen [name_f]Lunetta[/name_f] before. Or [name_f]Alula[/name_f], a name I just saw on another thread.
Any creative ways to get to [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] appreciated. We also liked [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], and a double L L first name and last name would sound very good with our Dutch surname which is [name_u]Van[/name_u] L–v--
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]! [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is gorgeous, though tbh I think you can call her [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] as a pet name just because you like it, it doesn’t NEED to come from her formal name, especially if you’d end up shoehorning in a name you don’t love just to get there. I call my daughter all sorts of pet names which are totally unrelated to her actual name!
My nickname as a child was [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] and it has nothing to do with my actual name, (there isn’t an L or a U anywhere in my name!) sometimes nicknames don’t have to be obvious just special to you and your child.
My friends name is Lewahna (a beautiful name) and is called [name_f]Lulu[/name_f], and no one calls her [name_u]Lou[/name_u] so it’s really not a problem because [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] is a good enough nn.
