[name]Hi[/name] all. I’m 30 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. We’d like the middle name to be [name]Ryan[/name] and the surname is [name]Giles[/name]. [name]Every[/name] name we like has a problem!
My favourite is [name]Arlo[/name]. I love it, DF hates it. He thinks it’s too unusual. I wish he would change his mind. My next favourite is [name]Gabriel[/name] with the nickname [name]Gabe[/name]. DF thinks it sounds like ‘gay’ and he will be bullied.
DF’s favourite is [name]Oliver[/name] with the nickname [name]Olly[/name]. DS is [name]Elijah[/name] ([name]Eli[/name]) and I think [name]Eli[/name] and [name]Olly[/name] are too close. He likes [name]Grayson[/name], but really wants to use [name]Ryan[/name] as a middle name. I quite like [name]Grayson[/name] but it doesn’t go with [name]Ryan[/name]. And also not sure how I feel about the GG initials with the surname, even though they are different sounds.
We both like [name]Jackson[/name] or [name]Jaxon[/name], but also not sure how we feel about the sound of [name]Jaxon[/name] [name]Giles[/name]. And again, [name]Ryan[/name] doesn’t match as a middle name.
2 names we both love are [name]Jude[/name] and [name]Beau[/name], but they don’t match with our one sylable surname (grrr!).
Some we quite like are [name]Henry[/name], [name]Lucas[/name], [name]Alexander[/name] and [name]Benjamin[/name] but we’re not excited by them and don’t [name]LOVE[/name] them!
I’ve just thought of [name]Luca[/name], which I think I like better than [name]Lucas[/name]. I haven’t ran it by DF yet. What do you think?
DF thinks I am too fussy. I just want to find a name we love for our little man! Please help.

First of all, don’t listen to the previous post that states that [name]LUCA[/name] is a girl’s name! It’s the Italian version of [name]Luke[/name], so no, it’s not feminine, trust me, I’m Italian-born and know the name very well, as a matter of fact that happens to be one of the names on the top of my list if I have a boy – I’m currently 11 weeks.
I noticed you have an “E” theme with your other kids’ names, perhaps you’d want to continue with that? If so, what about these:
I like the name [name]Jude[/name] but agree with you that doesnt go with your surname…in fact I’d ignore all one-syllable names for that purpose.
I’m not a fan of [name]Gabriel[/name] (I’ve known too many older Italian men with that name - [name]Gabriele[/name] - with the nn [name]Gabe[/name]). But I do love [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Ryan[/name] and why not [name]Grayson[/name] [name]Ryan[/name]? The initials will be GRG not GG if you add the middle name.
