For a boy, i think [name]Leo[/name] Maarten is really great! [name]Leo[/name] Stecca sounds very handsome, and sounds good for a little guy or a grown man. [name]Arlo[/name] [name]Antonio[/name] is really cute too, i never heard the name [name]Arlo[/name] before and i actually really love it! But does having both names end in “o” bother you? To me, it has a really nice flow. I think either name you pick, your little guy will have a very strong, handsome name that he will be pleased with!
As for girls, im not really loving any of them. If i had to pick i would pick [name]Ava[/name] [name]Grace[/name], however both names are very popular (not sure if that bothers you or not) and little [name]Ava[/name] [name]Grace[/name]'s are popping up everywhere! Surprised by how common your girls names are compared to the boys! If you like the name [name]Ava[/name], how about using the name [name]Avery[/name] instead? A little less common (still in top 30) but its a little more unique! [name]Avery[/name] [name]Grace[/name] sounds cute, and her nn could always be [name]Ava[/name].
hope this helps!
I’m not in love with either [name]Layla[/name] or [name]Ava[/name] Stecca, simply because they match the two-syllable pattern and A end-sound of your last name. It’s all a bit too sing-song-y for me.
So, I’d choose [name]Lauren[/name] - my name! - but it is slightly out of fashion at this point. I’d like [name]Helena[/name] Stecca better, as [name]Helena[/name]'s three syllables balance with the shorter Stecca. Or, what about [name]Laurel[/name]? I think it “modernizes” [name]Lauren[/name] very well!
So, I think I’d choose [name]Laurel[/name] [name]Grace[/name] Stecca or [name]Helena[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name] Stecca, myself…
I’d choose [name]Leo[/name] Stecca, for sure! I love [name]Arlo[/name], I do, but I don’t love [name]Arlo[/name] [name]Antonio[/name] as much. [name]Leo[/name]'s classic but quirky flavor fits well with [name]Helena[/name], if you were to ever have a boy and a girl. Maarten - what nationality is that? I’m assuming it is a [name]Martin[/name] variant, right?
Thanks for all the feed-back! [name]Leo[/name] is out of the running because my husband doesn’t like it enough! So, I think we will go with [name]Arlo[/name] [name]Antonio[/name] if it’s a boy ([name]Antonio[/name] is my husband’s name but he goes by [name]Tony[/name]) Maarten was my grandfathers name (dutch) so hopefully we’ll have a chance to use it in the future!
Still looking for more girl ideas…[name]Ava[/name] is out of the running-I did not realize it was SO popular…I still love [name]Lauren[/name] though, had thought of laurel but feel lauren has a nice soft and classic feel. My husband loves [name]Layla[/name] so I’m trying to like it but if feels a little flowery too me…
I second Maarten [name]Antonio[/name] and [name]Helena[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name]. [name]Marty[/name] is a good nickname, and flows well with your hubby’s, [name]Tony[/name].
Having a last name ending in “o” I wouldn’t choose first names ending in “o”. I like [name]Lauren[/name], but I know several-- [name]Laura[/name], [name]Lauren[/name], [name]Lora[/name], [name]Loren[/name], [name]Lorin[/name], [name]Loreen[/name] etc–even though it is not a currently popular name. However, it is a standard Classic, so if you like it, go for it! I like [name]Helena[/name] [name]Lauren[/name] also. Best of luck! Congrats on your new arrival (any day now!)
[name]Hi[/name] - [name]Layla[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is the name of a little girl in [name]Texas[/name] who tragically just died of cancer. Her parents gained some amount of exposure regarding their daughter’s plight through their frequent twitter, facebook, and blog postings (laylagrace.org). It is a beautiful name - but I did want to mention the association.
[name]LAUREN[/name] [name]HELENA[/name]!!! looove it!
It flows so well either way your pronounce [name]Helena[/name]… If you say HelANA, [name]Helen[/name]-uh, or Heleeeeeeeeena.
[name]LAUREN[/name] [name]GRACE[/name] STECCA
Believe it or not, these are my two favorite girls’ names. Elegant and dignified. [name]Grace[/name] is perfect with your last name bec it is one syllable against the two in Stecca plus the “G” sound is a phonetic partner of “K” so [name]Grace[/name] and Stecca sound beautiful together. [name]Lauren[/name] sounds great with your ln too. [name]Lauren[/name] doesn’t have any hard consonants (B, D, G, K, P, T) so it’s a nice, soft complement to your last name that has the strong T and K. Also, the # of syllables works: 2, 1, 2
There is one flaw: the “s” sound in [name]Grace[/name] and your ln butt up to each other.
[name]LEO[/name] [name]ANTONIO[/name] STECCA
The flow of this name is awesome. [name]Leo[/name] and [name]Antonio[/name] roll off the tongue nicely with the repeating “eo/io” sound; the repeating “T” in [name]Antonio[/name] and Stecca connect those two. And the 4 syllables in [name]Antonio[/name] give the whole name nice rhythm between the two syllables of [name]Leo[/name] and Stecca. It would be ideal if the first and last names had different number of syllables, but I think [name]Leo[/name] Stecca sounds great. Also the “o” ending is very masculine. I think this combination makes it a strong, handsome, and dignified name.
