Help please

Ok I am in a bit of a troublesome spot. I have a character, he is very unique. He comes from an upper-class family. He is really smart and handsome, but has a really bad temper. I want to name him [name]Sherlock[/name] but am not sure if every body will think automatically [name]Sherlock[/name] [name]Holmes[/name]. I am kind of reluctant to give up the name though. I feel it conveys the upper class stuffy atmosphere I am trying to bring out from his family. Any advice?

I like [name]Sherlock[/name] for the character, but it does make me think of the detective almost imediatly. I think that’s going to be a problem with the [name]Sherlock[/name] [name]Holmes[/name] movies with [name]Robert[/name] Downey [name]Jr[/name]. and [name]Jude[/name] [name]Law[/name]. It’s not a huge deal, but people will think of him as a classic Brittish detective, not your marvelous character!
Here are some names that have an upper-class feel while stil be unusual/unique

[name]Willoughby[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name]
[name]Barnaby[/name]
[name]Bainbridge[/name]
[name]Bellamy[/name]
[name]Beresford[/name]
[name]Mortimer[/name]
[name]Chaplin[/name]
[name]Chadwick[/name]
[name]Carver[/name]
[name]Crawford[/name]

[name]Atticus[/name]
Duddley

I hope that helps! Best of luck!

I thought of the name [name]Sterling[/name] for [name]Sherlock[/name]'s replacement. It would be a great name for someone with a bad temper to aspire to!
