My best friend, and sister in law [name]Marilyn[/name] is expecting!!! This is [name]Marilyn[/name]'s first child, and she is expecting a little girl! I’m also expecting a girl, so now our girls will grow up together like sisters and be best friends!!! She wants some name help, so here are the requirements!!!
Her husband is [name]David[/name] [name]Jonathan[/name], and she is [name]Marilyn[/name] [name]Opal[/name].
No names starting with D or M.
[name]Audrey[/name]/[name]Aubrey[/name],any spellings of [name]Karleigh[/name] and [name]Selena[/name] are out.
I like [name]Ciara[/name] if it’s pronounced properly (like [name]Keira[/name], not like [name]Sierra[/name]). Also like [name]Julietta[/name], and on the fence with [name]Harlow[/name]. Can’t stand any of the others, particularly [name]Kala[/name] pronounced [name]Kayla[/name]. Ruins a perfectly good [name]Indian[/name] name meaning “art”.
Ideas: [name]Cleo[/name] (similar sound to [name]Harlow[/name] but a bit more classic), [name]Violetta[/name]
Also, go easy on the exclamation points, we get it.
[name]Ciara[/name] is pronounced C-air-aww, [name]Keira[/name] is pretty, [name]Lynn[/name] is here with me now, this is what she says:
[name]Hi[/name], thanks everyone for your awesome suggestions! I love your suggestions of [name]Keira[/name], & [name]Emma[/name]. [name]How[/name] about the combo [name]Ciara[/name] [name]Gretchen[/name]? Or [name]Kala[/name] [name]Sunday[/name]? Or is [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Kala[/name] better?
[name]Gretchen[/name] and [name]Julietta[/name] are my favorites on [name]Marilyn[/name]'s list. If you want the pronunciation [name]Kay[/name]-lah, I’d suggest spelling [name]Kala[/name] as [name]Kayla[/name]. [name]Kayla[/name] [name]Sunday[/name] and [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Kayla[/name] aren’t quite flowing for me.
[name]Tiara[/name],
On Apr 24th, you posted looking for girl names - you said you weren’t expecting, just looking. Then on Apr 26, you posted asking for others children’s names because you just found out you were expecting and wanted inspiration. Now, you post that you are having a girl? Does this mean we should expect your birth announcement next week?
Noticed this after I posted, too. We got another one. (Or the same one. They all seem to have the same grammar and lack of basic biological knowledge.)
I suppose I sound/look super paranoid, but when someone [name]ELSE[/name] posts they are a “wifey” and lists their BFF’s names in their signature… it just made me look into the history. Sorry, but besides the three or four people who have recently had babies and started pursuing adoption, no one else on NB posts their BFF’s names in their signature line. Perhaps I’m just an old fashioned or and ultra-mature and formal 29-yr old, but I can’t picture someone my age calling themself “wifey”
You don’t look/sound paranoid to me, since I’ve been noticing the same thing. And I don’t even think I would’ve called myself “wifey” when I was 14 which is probably how old this chick is.
I’m sorry for the confusion, esrever88 & crunchymama! I didn’t know I was expecting on [name]April[/name] 24. I later found out I was expecting a girl, and looking for name inspiration. Now my best friend aka sister in law is expecting and I posted this thread for her. She really likes [name]Ciara[/name] [name]Gretchen[/name], and right now it’s her favorite. And what’s wrong with posting my friend’s names in my signature, and what’s wrong with calling myself a wifey? It’s what my husband calls me!!
You do realize you can’t find out the gender of a baby until you are 15-20 weeks pregnant right? So unless you found out you were pregnant at 15 weeks along, you couldn’t find out the gender the next week.
My husband calls me princess so I get cutesy names. I have no problem with your hubby calling you that or you listing your friends names in your signature line. There have been 3 or 4 recent posters who have had nearly identical signatures to yours - listing “wifey to ", "mom to” “bff of __” and I’m sorry, but it was just way too similar to ignore that. [name]How[/name] many accounts does one person need?
