Help! Sister for Adeline & Atlas

My oldest daughter is [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] ( “ad-a-lyn” she’s 7 so it was a bit before that name went nuts) and my son is [name_m]Atlas[/name_m]. We were set on a boy name and then we found out this baby is a girl!

We like original names that are easy to pronounce and not too strange. Our last name is one syllable and goes with pretty much everything. Definitely not an A name for this baby.

So far our list is

[name_f]Lila[/name_f] (top of the list, but we’re wondering if it’s our style)
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (love but not fans of [name_f]Maggie[/name_f])
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f] (husband hates so it’s probably out)

but I feel like I’m missing some perfect name, hellllp me!

[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] could be cute… may clash with [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] and though.

I would have said [name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] but you said no A names soo…
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Luella[/name_f]
Marmalee

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] could use “[name_f]Nola[/name_f]” as a nn. I love how vintage and pretty your older daughters name is, so I would choose another vintage name.

[name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] &

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] “[name_f]Elle[/name_f]”
[name_f]Emily[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]

[name_f]Elouise[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] are great names for sisters! That’s my favorite of your choices. [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is a bit different than your other kids’ names but not so different that it would be weird to use.

I think [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is a great best match. You could use [name_f]Nola[/name_f] or [name_f]Nolie[/name_f] or even [name_f]Lia[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Lila[/name_f] would work nicely as well. Good luck!

I like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nola[/name_f] or Nolee

[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Silvia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mirabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Oriana[/name_f]
[name_f]Lisette[/name_f]
[name_f]Sybella[/name_f]
[name_f]Thalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Catalina[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Mariah[/name_f]
[name_f]Odette[/name_f]
[name_f]Celestina[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Viola[/name_f]
[name_f]Cassia[/name_f]

[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is such a beautiful name in my opinion it’s hard to match.

Instead of [name_f]Lila[/name_f] what about [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]? Or [name_f]Florence[/name_f] (or [name_f]Florentia[/name_f]), I think it stands out against [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] quite well, and it means to flower or blossom. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is lovely too. And I second [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. There is [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] as well which is a nice V name.

I know Audrey is a name starting with A but I had to throw it in. It is such classic with a nice meaning.

Good luck

I think you’re going to meet a number of little Elles*, so with more unusual names for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], I’d pick something fun and vintage to match them, if it were me.

*I volunteer at my child’s school, and between there and other activities, we run in to [name_f]Elle[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] a lot.

[name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] (although you risk the Frozen association)
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Geneva[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f]

Good luck!

[name_f]Susan[/name_f]

I also really like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] with [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m].
For a nn you could use [name_m]Mac[/name_m] or [name_f]Lia[/name_f].

[name_f]Cosima[/name_f]

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Maribel[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]

And although you said no A…
[name_f]Amadea[/name_f]
[name_f]Anthea[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]

Good luck!

I love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f]! You could use [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and have nn [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f].

From your list I love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Nolie[/name_f], [name_f]Nola[/name_f], [name_f]Molly[/name_f], or [name_f]Lia[/name_f]). [name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Elle[/name_f] don’t stand up to [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] imo. Some other suggestions (sorry for repeats):

[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] (feels more substantial than [name_f]Lila[/name_f], and you could use nn [name_f]Lila[/name_f])
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]/[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]

[name_f]Nadine[/name_f]

I think with 2 little ‘A’ children, you are already committed to another A initial.
A lends such a strong leadership qualities that I fear for the little one, a grade B, an afterthought.
It’s true, [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] does give her an A as first vowel, so not a bad choice, but [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] would make her feel more a part of the family.
No one wants to be ‘odd man out’.

Would have suggested [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Athena[/name_f], or [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], but no A names. [name_m]How[/name_m] about
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Calista[/name_f]

[name_f]Selena[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], & [name_f]Lila[/name_f]! I love the suggestion of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. Here are some others that may work.
