I posted here a few months ago to try to find a sibling name for my ds [name_m]Amias[/name_m]. My second boy is now here and a week old and we still have no name, having scoured all naming sites, I thought I would try posting one last time in case someone can help.
The problem is we love the name [name_m]Amias[/name_m] too much and nothing comes close :-(. I love [name_m]Amias[/name_m] because it is soft yet strong, has a romantic feel, very unusual (never come across another) and it has a beautiful meaning. While I would love to tick all these boxes again, I accept it may not be possible, but the feeling the name invokes is important to me.
At the moment the front runner is [name_m]Myles[/name_m], I like it but I don’t love it, it’s not unusual, no special meaning, but I like the feel. I think despair is helping it grow on me :-).
Other names I like (not love) but either can’t use, too popular or have been vetoed are:
Congratulations on the arrival of your little boy! On your list, my favourites are [name_u]Micah[/name_u] and [name_u]Beau[/name_u]. Other suggestions…
The first name that came to mind upon seeing [name_m]Amias[/name_m] was [name_m]Armand[/name_m]/[name_m]Armando[/name_m]! [name_m]Armando[/name_m] in particular has that strong yet soft, romantic feel, isn’t extremely common (but not unheard of) and the shared initials of the names tie them together nicely! [name_m]Amadeo[/name_m]/[name_m]Amedeo[/name_m] also came to mind, but may be too close to [name_m]Amias[/name_m]. Congratulations on your little boy!
I feel like [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] or [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] is the perfect fit for you. It has a romantic feel, great meaning, goes well with [name_m]Amias[/name_m], and I work with 20+ different children every day and I’ve heard it once maybe. I really would consider it.
