[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all. Recently pregnant here and so very excited to go down the rabbit hole of choosing names again! We are team green and have a little boy already named [name_m]Rupert[/name_m]. We want to avoid R names again if possible. I like uncommon names that are still able to be pronounced without too many weird looks or stumbling over how to say it. Would love your thoughts on names similar to my style.
Names I love but unsure if we’ll use for various reasons. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to comment on my list!
[name_m]Elmo[/name_m] - Loving this at the moment but is it too [name_f]Sesame[/name_f] [name_f]Street[/name_f]?
[name_m]Wilkie[/name_m] - Already one in the family.
[name_m]Homer[/name_m] - Too Simpsons?
[name_u]Quincy[/name_u] - Too soft/feminine?
[name_m]Marcel[/name_m] - Too [name_u]French[/name_u]?
[name_m]Truman[/name_m] - I love this one but is it too out there? Is it bad that the boys have the same sounds as Ru and [name_m]Tru[/name_m]?
[name_m]Woodrow[/name_m] - A bit of a tongue twister with [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] when saying their names together?
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] - Too feminine? Might get confused with [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
[name_m]Fraser[/name_m] - Hubby doesn’t like.
[name_m]Elton[/name_m] - Too [name_m]Elton[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]?
[name_m]Herschel[/name_m] - Too out there? [name_m]Can[/name_m]’t think of any nicknames.
If it helps, girl names we like are mostly soft, pretty, feminine names like [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_f]Nancy[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]. I don’t think “the one” is there either. Still working on girl names!
