Help - the name of the 4th baby

Hey, berries!
My cousin [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is pregnant with her 4th child and we just received the news that it’s a baby girl!
We are thrilled to choose her names, especially me 'cause I’m gonna be the godmother and my cousin knows how much fun I have picking the right one.

So, I helped my cousin to choose the names of her older kids, the girls [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] & [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] and the little boy [name_m]Ivan[/name_m].

The thing is, we have no idea what to name this unborn baby. She wants the name to have this “ahn” sound and the one we thought of was [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] (which reminds us of Jamanta, how is known the giant oceanic manta ray here in [name_u]Brazil[/name_u]). We considered [name_f]Adriana[/name_f], [name_f]Mariana[/name_f], [name_f]Luciana[/name_f]… But I don’t think it quite fits because of the -ana sound.

Any ideas?

I love [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] (I’m biased though because I watch The Fosters lol). I also really like [name_f]Anya[/name_f], I think it matches with [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] nicely and it has that “ahn” sound she’s looking for just in a different way.

[name_m]How[/name_m] lucky for you that you get to help out with this exciting job. Of naming a real baby! I think all you ideas are lovely, I particularly [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] and [name_f]Mariana[/name_f]. [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f], [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] &

[name_f]Alana[/name_f]
[name_f]Angelica[/name_f]
[name_f]Annora[/name_f]
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f]
[name_f]Anwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f]
[name_f]Danica[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Esperanza[/name_f]
[name_f]Iliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Liana[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_u]Milan[/name_u]
[name_f]Shania[/name_f]

I really love [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_f]Iliana[/name_f] and [name_f]Liana[/name_f] with the sibset even tho they end with the -ana sound. I love [name_f]Iliana[/name_f] most, because that gives you [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] and [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f], [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] and [name_f]Iliana[/name_f]. Two V’s and two I’s! [name_f]Annora[/name_f] and [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] are very beautiful too. I also love the pp’s suggestion of [name_f]Anya[/name_f].
I wish you both all the best.

Oh my God, you’re the sweetest!
It’s really fun for me to help her. I have a big family and once there is a new baby, there I am helping the parents to find the right name. I love it!

I loved all of your suggestions, especially [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] and [name_f]Iliana[/name_f]. But I was thinking, maybe, [name_f]Ilana[/name_f] instead?

Thank you again, sweeties <3

[name_m]How[/name_m] exciting!
I’m sure you’ll get lots of suggestions for lovely “an” names.
I thought I’d try to find some names that keep the Vs from the other children’s names, as well as “an”:
[name_f]Alvana[/name_f], [name_f]Aviana[/name_f]/[name_f]Avianca[/name_f]/[name_f]Aviance[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]/a, [name_f]Evanthe[/name_f],
[name_f]Giovanna[/name_f]/[name_f]Jovana[/name_f] (perhaps too close to [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] in meaning?)
[name_f]Livana[/name_f]
[name_f]Oliviane[/name_f]
[name_f]Pavana[/name_f]
[name_f]Salviane[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvian[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvana[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvania[/name_f]/[name_f]Silvana[/name_f] etc , [name_f]Svetlana[/name_f], [name_f]Sevastiane[/name_f]
Tanvi
[name_f]Vanora[/name_f], [name_f]Vanja[/name_f]/[name_f]Vania[/name_f] (too close to [name_m]Ivan[/name_m]?) , [name_f]Verana[/name_f]/[name_f]Verania[/name_f]/[name_f]Veranina[/name_f], [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] (?doesn’t have the “an” sound in my accent, but it does in some), [name_f]Vianne[/name_f] (too close to [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]?), [name_f]Violaine[/name_f]/[name_f]Violanthe[/name_f], [name_f]Viridiana[/name_f]/[name_m]Viridian[/name_m].

There are a few word names too - [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], [name_u]Havana[/name_u], [name_u]Janvier[/name_u], [name_f]Nirvana[/name_f] etc

Including the V might be too matchy for your/[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]'s taste, and I don’t think those names are all quite your style - lots of “ana” endings. But maybe there’s something there that might fit - [name_f]Sylvian[/name_f], Evangeline, [name_f]Evanthe[/name_f] or [name_f]Giovanna[/name_f], maybe ([name_f]Giovanna[/name_f]'s meaning ties it closely to [name_m]Ivan[/name_m], but then [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] are connected by their first letter, so maybe it’s not such a problem?)

Good luck, and congratulations to [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]!

You have to have a v in there. I think [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] or [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] would be perfect.
