HELP urgently needed!!

Hello everyone! I’m new here, but I hope that won’t stop you from helping me and hubs with finding names for our impending triplets!

  • My name is [name]Jennifer[/name] [name]Marie[/name] (common and boring name, I know!) and hubby is [name]Dan[/name]. Our last name is [name]Lennox[/name]. He’s a history professor who loves nature and creative names, while I’m a SAHM to our three beautiful and crazy kids (soon to be six!).
  • First of all we have our creative and bright 9 year old daughter [name]Lilias[/name] [name]Septima[/name] ”[name]Lil[/name]”. We loved the natural feel of of [name]Lilias[/name] and [name]Septima[/name] is in reference to the month we got married, [name]July[/name] 2000.
  • Our only son is [name]Ignatius[/name] [name]Everett[/name] ”[name]Iggy[/name]”. We loved the name [name]Ignatius[/name] from the first moment we heard it ” so spunky! - and [name]Everett[/name] represents Mount [name]Everest[/name], a place we hope to visit when the kids are older. He is
  • Our second girl is the gorgeous Cleobelle [name]Summer[/name] ”[name]Cleo[/name]”. We loved the feline feel of Cleobelle and summer is when she was conceived (although I don’t think we will tell her that!).

In summary, our kids are [name]Lil[/name], [name]Iggy[/name] and [name]Cleo[/name].

Naming our singleton kids was hard enough, now we are having to name triplets and we are completely stuck! Can you help?!

The ultrasound technician couldn’t see very well, but she said there is probably two girls and one boy in there. However, I’d like to play it safe and come up with three names of each gender that we totally love!

Names we’ve been considering:

Wow, I adore your children’s names!! So gorgeous, creative, and meaningful, everything I think a name should be!

Of the names you listed, I think [name]Hawthorne[/name], [name]Archer[/name], [name]Barnabas[/name], [name]Cornelia[/name], and [name]Olympia[/name] have the same feel as those of your older children.

Similar names I’m throwing out there:

For girls, I feel something Latin or Greek compliments your style:

I like these adventurous boys names for your set:
D’Artagnan/Dartagnan (of the 3 Musketeers! Perfect for triplets and sounds fantastic with big brother [name]Ignatius[/name] :D)

[name]Lilias[/name] [name]Septima[/name], [name]Ignatius[/name] [name]Everett[/name], Cleobelle [name]Summer[/name], and…

[name]Odette[/name] [name]Melisande[/name]
[name]Phaedra[/name] [name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Hermione[/name] [name]Sunday[/name]

Dartagnan [name]Hawthorne[/name]
[name]Caspian[/name] [name]Barnabas[/name]
[name]Artemas[/name] [name]Quentin[/name]

You guys rock! Thank you so much for your prompt responses!

[name]Rollo[/name] - I love your combos (especially the spunky and fun boys ones!), thank you so much for taking the time to do all of those! I love [name]Archer[/name] [name]Hawthorne[/name], [name]Peregrine[/name] [name]Ulysses[/name] and [name]Leopold[/name] [name]Ulysses[/name]. I do like [name]Cornelia[/name] [name]Odette[/name] and [name]Jessamine[/name] [name]Odile[/name], but they are feeling a bit safe for me, and I’d love something a bit spunkier to go with our kids names!

[name]Danni[/name] - Thank you for your help! I love [name]Odette[/name] and [name]Phaedra[/name] (how is this prn? It looks very pretty!) and for boys, [name]Caspian[/name], [name]Sirius[/name] and [name]Devereaux[/name] are gorgeous! [name]Odette[/name] [name]Melisande[/name] and [name]Phaedra[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] are quite pretty and I really like [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Barnabas[/name]!

@JennLennox: [name]Phaedra[/name] is prn [name]FAY[/name]-druh. I am so glad you like it! It’s so lovely – strong yet soft!

Congrats on your triplets! [name]Lilias[/name] [name]Septima[/name], [name]Ignatius[/name] [name]Everett[/name] and Cleobelle [name]Summer[/name] are an awesome trio. The names that would work best with them are: [name]Ulysses[/name], [name]Peregrine[/name] and [name]Balthazar[/name] for boys and [name]Jessamine[/name], [name]Olympia[/name], and [name]Melisande[/name] for girls. All the best to you and do let us know what you choose in the end.

I’d keep with three syllables for each name, [name]Jenn[/name], just like [name]Lilias[/name], [name]Ignatius[/name], and Cleobelle…

So, for a boys I like [name]Peregrine[/name] best, followed by [name]Barnabas[/name]. [name]Perry[/name] is a great nickname for you all, though! You might also like [name]Archibald[/name] “[name]Archie[/name],” [name]Benedict[/name] “[name]Benny[/name],” [name]Gideon[/name] “Giddy,” [name]Julian[/name] “[name]Jules[/name],” [name]Nathaniel[/name] “[name]Nat[/name],” [name]Oliver[/name] “[name]Ollie[/name],” [name]Sebastian[/name] “[name]Bas[/name]” or “[name]Seb[/name]” or “[name]Bastian[/name],” [name]Sullivan[/name] “[name]Sully[/name]” or “[name]Van[/name],” [name]Tobiah[/name] “[name]Toby[/name],” [name]Tennyson[/name] “Ten” or “[name]Sonny[/name],” or [name]Willoughby[/name] “[name]Will[/name].”

For girls, you’re golden with [name]Jessamine[/name] and [name]Melisande[/name]! [name]Jessa[/name], [name]Jess[/name], and [name]Mini[/name] are great nicknames for [name]Jessamine[/name], while [name]Mel[/name] is a natural fit for [name]Melisande[/name]. I’d also recommend [name]Aurora[/name] “[name]Rory[/name],” [name]Aveline[/name] “[name]Ava[/name],” [name]Abilene[/name] “[name]Abby[/name],” [name]Amity[/name] “[name]Ami[/name],” [name]Bianca[/name] “[name]Bee[/name],” [name]Dahlia[/name] “[name]Lia[/name],” [name]Eloise[/name] “[name]Elle[/name],” [name]Eveline[/name] “[name]Evie[/name],” [name]Gwendolen[/name] “[name]Gwen[/name]” or “[name]Wendy[/name],” Hosanna “[name]Sanna[/name]” or “[name]Annie[/name],” [name]Melinda[/name] “[name]Mel[/name],” [name]Noemi[/name] “[name]Emi[/name]” or “No,” [name]Ophelie[/name] “[name]Fifi[/name],” [name]Oliva[/name] “[name]Liv[/name]” or “[name]Livy[/name],” [name]Ramona[/name] “[name]Romy[/name]” or “[name]Mona[/name],” [name]Shoshana[/name] “[name]Sosie[/name],” [name]Tallulah[/name] “[name]Lula[/name]” or “[name]Lulu[/name],” [name]Thessaly[/name] “[name]Tess[/name]” or “[name]Aly[/name],” or [name]Viola[/name] “[name]Vi[/name].”

My favorites are [name]Peregrine[/name], [name]Archibald[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Sebastian[/name], and [name]Willoughby[/name]. [name]Ignatius[/name] is a vintage name, so something like [name]Archibald[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], and [name]Sebastian[/name] for triplet boys feels right to me. Go bold in the middle, perhaps? Something like [name]Aston[/name], [name]Edsel[/name], [name]Faulkner[/name], [name]Hawthorne[/name], [name]Isa[/name], Jarrah, [name]Perrin[/name], [name]Quill[/name], [name]Roan[/name], [name]Silas[/name], [name]Thackeray[/name], or [name]Ulysses[/name] might work.

Hm. What about [name]Archibald[/name] [name]Roan[/name], [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Thackeray[/name], and [name]Sebastian[/name] Jarrah? I also like [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Aston[/name], [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Quill[/name], and [name]Archibald[/name] [name]Ulysses[/name].

For girls, my picks are [name]Aurora[/name], [name]Abilene[/name], [name]Amity[/name], Hosanna, [name]Oliva[/name], [name]Tallulah[/name], and [name]Jessamine[/name]. For three, I love [name]Amity[/name], [name]Jessamine[/name], and [name]Tallulah[/name] - [name]Ami[/name], [name]Jess[/name], and [name]Lula[/name]. For middle names, something like [name]Alcott[/name], [name]Clementine[/name], [name]Celestine[/name], [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Estee[/name], [name]Fleur[/name], [name]Ginevra[/name], [name]Glory[/name], [name]Isolde[/name], [name]Juno[/name], [name]Lucienne[/name], [name]Melisande[/name], [name]Monet[/name], [name]Noella[/name], [name]Olive[/name], [name]Patience[/name], [name]Poesy[/name], [name]Roxane[/name], [name]Simone[/name], Trudeau, and [name]Valentine[/name] would be great!

Eh, you might like [name]Amity[/name] [name]Clementine[/name], [name]Jessamine[/name] [name]Glory[/name], and [name]Tallulah[/name] [name]Monet[/name]! Or, perhaps [name]Amity[/name] [name]Juno[/name], [name]Jessamine[/name] [name]Olive[/name], and [name]Tallulah[/name] [name]Poesy[/name]?

Good luck!

Hey guys! Thank you so much for all of your responses, I’m sorry I haven’t been able to get on sooner. Life is a bit hectic in the [name]Lennox[/name] household at the moment!

[name]Lemon[/name] - Thank you for your suggestions! I really like [name]Tennyson[/name] and [name]Willoughby[/name] from your boys suggestions and out of your girls ones I really like [name]Tallulah[/name] and [name]Thessaly[/name]. What does Trudeau mean and how is it said? [name]True[/name]-do?

[name]Rollo[/name] - [name]Xanthe[/name] [name]Cornelia[/name] is so spunky, I think that fits our style well. [name]Aloysius[/name] [name]Hawthorne[/name] is also great, I like it reversed too. What do you guys think about [name]Hawthorne[/name] [name]Aloysius[/name]? What nicknames could we use for [name]Hawthorne[/name]?
