[name_u]Charlie[/name_u] ([name_m]Charles[/name_m] on birth certificate) Merillo (meh-[name_f]REE[/name_f]-yo) or [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] (Not [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]) Merillo? Middle name to be determined after the first name. Help, we only have 2 weeks Left!

Siblings are [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] and [name_m]Tommy[/name_m].

Thanks!

I’d personally go with [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. To have a [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and a [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] would seem too similar to me.

I’d pick [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. I like how it sounds with your surname, and, if you don’t think you’re going to have anymore children after this baby, I would be afraid that [name_m]Tommy[/name_m] might feel left out not having a C name like his brother and sister.

I like [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]/[name_m]Charles[/name_m] best with the sibling names and with the last name, but both are great names. I think [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] looks more similar to [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] than it sounds, so that wouldn’t bother me.

They are both great names. You can’t go wrong! If you care at all that two of your children’s names would start with “C” then go with [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]!

So my personal choice would be [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], but for you I suggest [name_m]Charles[/name_m]/[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]. Why? Because you put forth no hesitations with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], but you had to specify “not [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]” on the other name. What if someone uses [name_m]Gabe[/name_m], what if your son wants [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]? Better to go with the one where you like the long form and the nickname is very likely to stick (I think all the [name_m]Charles[/name_m]’s I’ve known have gone by [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] at some point!). And both are handsome, timeless names!

I’d personally choose [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]/[name_m]Charles[/name_m], you can’t really control what nicknames you child gets a they grow up so I wouldn’t pick [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] if you don’t like [name_m]Gabe[/name_m].
