My husband and I are expecting a little boy this summer and we’ve just landed on a first name: [name_m]Brooks[/name_m]. Our last name is [name_m]Decker[/name_m], so syllable-wise, I think we need a 3-syllable middle name to tie the name together.
We’re in between [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] and [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]. Thoughts?
I’m from the South and I really love surnames as first/middle names, so if you have any other 3-syllable surname suggestions for baby boy’s middle name, feel free to throw it at me!
I love both, but I think [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] is a little harder to say. The S’s run together more. [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] is my favorite.
I also like [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] a bit more, although the initials then spell BAD.
My suggestion for you is [name_u]Connelly[/name_u].
I prefer [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]. It kind of reminds me of [name_u]Rex[/name_u] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], which is perhaps why the sounds work so well to my ear and why it has a dashing, old-school feel to me.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Calloway[/name_m]?
I prefer [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]! Nice choice! [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u], [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_u]Jameson[/name_u], [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] and [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Edison[/name_m] came to mind!
I personally prefer [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], as well, but DH isn’t as sold on it as I am, unfortunately. I think it’s growing on him, though!
I actually considered [name_m]Calloway[/name_m] for a split second, but DH works in the golf business and works closely with the [name_m]Callaway[/name_m] Golf brand, so I thought it would be (or at least come off as) cheesy to name DS that. Thanks for your suggestion, though!
I realized the initials would be BAD, but I’m trying to convince myself that it doesn’t matter lol. I love the name [name_u]Connelly[/name_u], but actually prefer it for a girl (spelled [name_u]Connally[/name_u], could be shortened to [name_f]Ally[/name_f] for a nn). Thanks for your suggestion, though!
Thank you for your suggestions! I think I lean a little more towards [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], as well
I like [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]
