[name]Mackenzie[/name] and [name]Payton[/name] are the only names my fiance likes for a girl. I want something classy, less popular, and less unisex. Can anybody help us? My favorites are [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Madeline[/name], but they’re very popular also.
I would love to help you find some amazing names we nameberries will steer you in the right direction.
If your fiance likes unisex names maybe we can find one that has a pretty nn. I am in particular thinking about [name]Bellamy[/name] nn [name]Belle[/name], but this is not my first choice for you and would probably be better in second spot so you can get the classically beautiful style name that you love.

I personally like [name]Mackenzie[/name] but if you want a name that’s less unisex and trendy, I think maybe your fiance would like [name]Allison[/name]?
One place to start looking might be at other unisex names that feel a bit more feminine and unusual. [name]Mackenzie[/name] is definitely past its peak. I know [name]Mackenzie[/name] is Scottish, but what about one of these Irish surname names: Irish Surnames and Meanings | Nameberry
There are Welsh and Cornish names that have the surname feel but are definitely for girls and are more unusual: [name]Seren[/name], [name]Tamsin[/name], [name]Kerensa[/name], [name]Mirren[/name] or [name]Merryn[/name], [name]Gaynor[/name].
A few other ideas that come to mind that have the surname feel of [name]Payton[/name] but are perhaps fresher and more feminine are [name]Arden[/name], [name]Gardener[/name], [name]Ellison[/name], [name]Tierney[/name], [name]Tiernan[/name], and Seton.
I actually don’t like [name]Mackenzie[/name] at all and I have never liked [name]Payton[/name] on a girl. So here’s some new suggestions sort of like those two names:
It seems your husband likes names that are a little more playful and light, while you go for more serious names. I think you can split the difference- go for names that are light, but feminine and not so trendy. Perhaps:
