We’re due with a little girl (sister for [name]Lucas[/name] [name]Brady[/name]) in [name]September[/name]. Our last name is V1ncent. I’m having a hard time connecting with this baby during my pregnancy and I think a large part of that is because she doesn’t have a name yet. What do you think of our short list? Any bad rhymes or famous evil characters associated with these names? What are your impressions of kids with these names? Any other suggestions? We prefer a name that isn’t insanely popular (as much as we love [name]Sophia[/name], it’s just not an option because we don’t want her to be one of 3 in her class!)

I really love [name]Helena[/name], [name]Tessa[/name], and [name]Naomi[/name] and I think they all work with your last name and with brother [name]Lucas[/name]. [name]Nadia[/name] is okay, but I don’t like it as much as the others; I think it has a bit of a harsher sound, somehow. I’m confused about Tehya - it looks like it might be a typo?
[name]Helena[/name] - I love this name, plus the nickname [name]Nell[/name] is so cute.
[name]Tessa[/name] - I really love this with [name]Lucas[/name], both are simple and have sweet nicknames ([name]Tess[/name]/[name]Tessie[/name] is adorable!). Plus the OCD namer in me loves that they are both five syllables.
[name]Nadia[/name] - I like this name but it’s not my favorite on your list.
[name]Naomi[/name] - I think it’s a bit too unusual in sound next to [name]Lucas[/name].
Tehya - is the pronounced [name]TAY[/name]-uh. If so it is best spelled [name]Thea[/name] or [name]Tea[/name] (as in [name]Tea[/name] [name]Leoni[/name]). It’s a nice name, but not my favorite.
So I think [name]Tessa[/name] is definitely my favorite off your list. [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Naomi[/name] would be a beautiful combo.
All those names (with the exception of Tehya which I need a further pronounciation/history lesson on!) are beautiful
You can’t go wrong with the others. I wasn’t going to tell you my fav but it’s hard to decide! [name]Tessa[/name] is on my long list so I guess it should be that but I love [name]Helena[/name] (only not using it cos I know someone with the name), the same goes for [name]Naomi[/name], and I love [name]Nadia[/name] too but my partner doesn’t like it I think [name]Nadia[/name] sounds sophisticated not harsh!
If I had to pick I’d say [name]Helena[/name] first as it’s the least popular of them all at 575, has a wonderful meaning (bright shining one), and the cute nn [name]Lena[/name] :). Second I’d pick [name]Tessa[/name] cos it’s just so sweet and earthy sounding. I imagine a [name]Tessa[/name] to be an awesome, laid back, slightly bohemian child
I’d put [name]Nadia[/name] in third place because I think it sounds exotic and sophisticated but still has a cute nn in Nadi. I see a [name]Nadia[/name] being a gymnast, swimmer or a model one day! (Of course if she wants to be a [name]Doctor[/name] or [name]Lawyer[/name] it’d still be a fine choice!!)
I’d put [name]Naomi[/name] last, only because I know a few myself (my age, in their twenties) and it’s the most popular of your choices, almost hitting the top 100. It’s still a sweet name though and I liked all the ones I met! Nai is a cute nn.

I find it interesting that you are getting mixed reactions to Tehya. I suspect that is because you gave the Berries something new! I am familiar with the name, and I do like it very much. I haven’t heard it referenced on Nameberry until now.
I find that the same names get cycled around this site and become ‘adopted’, let’s say. My hunch is that the [name]Berry[/name] community will come to love it after hearing it a few times and learning it’s pronunciation.
