We are expecting our first in [name_f]May[/name_f]. Gender unknown, although hubby and I are feeling strong boy vibes. We have it narrowed to a few names and I just want to get a sense of what others would pick. Last name is pronounced “bell-shore”
BOY: middle name will be [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Bodhi[/name_m]
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u]
GIRL: middle name will be [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (Thanks to everyone who posted before I added Charlotte to the mix. Kaia in the middle sounds really odd for me too, and it would normally be my choice for a first name, except hubby hates it, so this is my way of getting it in there. Maybe Charlotte? Another name I love but hubby doesn’t)
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], definitely! [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] just sounds like “Body” wiht an accent to me, and sort of odd on children with no [name_f]Indian[/name_f] background.
I like [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] best, though [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is a close second. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is spunky and fun, [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is elegant, so it depends what you want. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is nice but so overused that it’s starting to sound generic, and doesn’t sound right with [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] to my hear.
To me [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] is lovely! It’s a great modern name with a classic middle. For a girl I would definitely go with [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is OK, there is nothing wrong with it, but it seems sort of bland when compared to [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] doesn’t sound right with the reoccuring “a” sound. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helped! To rephrase, [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] and [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] get my vote.
Definitely [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]! [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] doesn’t sound good with your last name and I agree it’s strange to use unless its religiously important to you.
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] sounds best, although I find [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] a little awkward in the middle. Would you consider [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]? I think [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] don’t flow as well as they’re both quite short names. And I agree that [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is way way over used.
Thanks everyone. [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] in the middle sounds really odd for me too, and it would normally be my choice for a first name, except hubby hates it, so this is my way of getting it in there. I may look into alternate middle names. Maybe [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]? Another name I love but hubby doesn’t.
I think [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] ‘[name_u]Bell[/name_u]-shore’ is better than [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] ‘[name_u]Bell[/name_u]-shore’, which is kinda sing-songy. So I vote [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m].
For girls, I like them all with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] in the middle. But I think [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] has a slight edge as far as flow with your last name, and I like it best with [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] in case you save it for another. Good luck!
I adore both [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] and [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]. I think they both sound good with [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. I would lean toward [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. I also like [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] “[name_u]Bell[/name_u]-shore”. All handsome names.
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is my personal favorite from your first name list for girls. [name_f]Adore[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. If I could switch things around, I think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] “[name_u]Bell[/name_u]-shore” is gorgeous.
