[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] names!
Here’s my ranking, from most favourite to least:
- [name_f]Bellarose[/name_f]
- [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
- [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]
- Lillabelle
- [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
- [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Bellarose[/name_f] is beautiful! (And for what it’s worth, I like it even better as two names: “Bella Rose”….)
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is a lovely, classic name, although there are quite a few of them around these days. If potential over-popularity isn’t an issue, I’d say you can’t really go wrong with this name! [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is equally pretty.
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] isn’t my personal style, but I can certainly appreciate its elegance. Lots of nickname potential, too: [name_u]Theo[/name_u], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Dora[/name_f], [name_f]Dori[/name_f], etc. With your surname, I think I slightly prefer the balance of the “belle” names, as it gets a tad long with this one.
I really wanted to rank Lillabelle higher, as I love the “Lily” names, but I can’t quite tell how it’s pronounced… LILL-a-bell, LEE-la-bell, or LY-la-belle? Maybe there’s a different spelling that might alleviate this issue? [name_u]Or[/name_u] you could divide it up: [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f], etc.
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is SO sweet and old-fashioned (in a very nice way), and there’s a unique charm to alliterative names… however, I think the initials “P.P.” might invite some teasing, which is the only reason why I voted this one lower. Otherwise, it would have been #1 or #2 on my list!
[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] doesn’t quite have the same ring to my ear as the others do… it just seems a bit more “plain” somehow. (As an aside, have you considered Arabelle?) Also, [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] might often end up being shortened to just Anna… which is a perfectly nice name too, of course!
