Hey again! So my husband and I have come up with a really good list of boys names for when we start trying for kiddos. we just need a little help finishing It up and deciding what sounds best. Our last name sounds like Sisloh.
Here are our girls names-
[name]Cora[/name] [name]Annaliese[/name] (not quite loving [name]Annaliese[/name], but were working on it… See girls thread)
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Lily[/name]… Also no middle (see [name]Cora[/name])
As for boys…
[name]Merrick[/name] [name]Liam[/name]- perfect just the way it is
[name]Callen[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]- we [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Callen[/name] but don’t like [name]Thomas[/name] paired with it. I’d like something not quite so classic, and something soft sounding, like [name]Liam[/name]
[name]McCoy[/name]- we seem to like hard C, and M names, and Irish names! We haven’t found anything to go with [name]McCoy[/name]. Hubby likes [name]McCoy[/name] O’neil but I think the capital in the middle of [name]McCoy[/name] paired with the apostrophe in O’neil is too much. And too Irish.
Zealand- we love love love Zealand. [name]Haven[/name]'t found the perfect middle though. Needs something very down to earth to ground the uncommon first name.
I like [name]Merrick[/name] [name]Liam[/name]. Not a big fan of [name]McCoy[/name]. My last name is an McC combo and few people get the capitalization correct (or just omit the second C entirely). I’m not sure how Zealand would fare as a first name.
If you are looking for another mn to go with [name]Callen[/name], maybe [name]Patrick[/name], [name]Michael[/name] or something else slightly more traditional but with a different sound?
We are not a huge fan of [name]Patrick[/name] or [name]Michael[/name]… A bit too plain for our taste. We’re really struggling with middles, especially for [name]McCoy[/name]!
Zealand [name]Thomas[/name] sounds really good! But that leaves the problem of a mn for [name]Callen[/name].
[name]McCoy[/name] is def very difficult! We really liked [name]McCoy[/name] [name]Jameson[/name] but it sounds a bit too Irish for us and just doesn’t quite fit! [name]Man[/name] this is a hard one!
[name]Merrick[/name] [name]Liam[/name]- It’s a solid combination. I’m not the biggest fan of [name]Merrick[/name], but it’s not bad.
[name]Callen[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]- I think [name]Thomas[/name] is a nice MN for [name]Callen[/name]. But some other thoughts: [name]Edward[/name] (or another ‘[name]Ed[/name]’ name), [name]Miles[/name], [name]Ambrose[/name], [name]Emrys[/name]
[name]McCoy[/name]- Not much of a mcfan of this name ([name]Makai[/name] or [name]Cormac[/name] are names I like though that have some similar sound qualities). But as some middle name options for [name]McCoy[/name]: [name]Edward[/name], [name]Edric[/name], [name]Alton[/name], [name]Donovan[/name], [name]Flynn[/name]
Zealand- I think this may be my favorite of the four FN options, it’s kinda cool (though I’d personally prefer [name]Leland[/name] or [name]Roland[/name]). Some MN options to go with Zealand: [name]Thomas[/name], [name]Paul[/name], [name]Saul[/name], [name]Miles[/name], [name]Clay[/name], [name]Brant[/name]
I like [name]Merrick[/name] [name]Liam[/name] best. [name]Callan[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is also nice. I see the appeal of [name]McCoy[/name] but I think the McC would be too annoying to live with. Its way too surnamey (I had a McM maiden name and never really liked it.) For some reason, the [name]Zea[/name] of Zealand makes me think Girl name, (like [name]Bea[/name] or something). Zeland? [name]Leland[/name]? Oh well.
That said, Zealand [name]McCoy[/name] is a cool combo if you’re struggling for middle names (and want something cool and unique). However, I’d put 100 votes for both [name]Merrick[/name] [name]Liam[/name] and [name]Callen[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]. Good [name]Luck[/name]!
