Currently 12 weeks pregnant with our first and we are so thrilled to find out the sex in early [name_u]March[/name_u]. Before then, we’d like to come up with a few name combos for each sex. We’ve managed to narrow things down quite a bit for both of us, now just to come up with a solid list of great combos and then we can narrow down once again!
Would [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] your help and name expertise on coming up with some great combos for boys!! Keep in mind, the lists are in a specific order from our favorite to least favorite. I have a top list and he has a top list!
You both have [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] as #1 so I think that is the obvious choice, and your only shared mn is [name_m]Edison[/name_m], so is there a reason you wouldn’t do [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Edison[/name_m]?
I know it’s low on both lists but you both have it and unless you can agree on one of each others tops I think that would be it.
You are very lucky that at 12 weeks you and DH have so many names in common - boys’ and girls’. Dad seems to really like [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] and [name_m]Ezra[/name_m].
I’m not crazy about that combo. I prefer to pair the classic [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] with something a little more quirky, like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Knox[/name_m]. And I prefer to pair [name_m]Edison[/name_m] with a more quirky first name like [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Edison[/name_m]. I’m not sure how DH feels about [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Edison[/name_m].
TBH, I haven’t even thought of that combo, but looking at our lists that would make the most sense.
I’m just not sure if [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Edison[/name_m] is a combo I’m crazy about :-/ I much prefer having a balance in the names and going with a classic name pairs with something a little more modern and/or quirky. Like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Knox[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Edison[/name_m]. I’ll have to see how DH feels about this combo.
We also would like to have 3 combos picked out instead of just one. In case we need a backup lol!
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Knox[/name_m] is my favorite combo! And yes, [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is by far our favorite so it will be our top name. Though we’d like to settle on 2 backup combos.
I’m not crazy about [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Edison[/name_m]. I don’t usually like seeing the last letter of a first name be the same as the first letter of a middle name. Not sure how DH feels about it.
DH suggested [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m]. But it’s somewhat a mouthful. Especially with our last name Cranmer.
Indeed we are!! [name_m]Even[/name_m] though our styles aren’t spot on the same, we definitely gravitate towards a lot of the same names, which is so helpful!
I’m not usually a fan of two middles, but I really like some of these. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m]-[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]-[name_m]Jack[/name_m] are nice. I also like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Dax[/name_m].
Note: I don’t care for most of his middle names with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] because it ends in E and most of his middle name choices begin with E.
If it were me I would choose [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Samson[/name_m], simply because you both like those names and they sound nice together, and I prefer [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] over [name_m]Samson[/name_m] for a first name.
Totally agree. The back-to-back E bothers me, too! [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Samson[/name_m] is nice. I’m usually a fan of a longer first paired with a shorter middle or vise versa. Especially with our last name not being real short. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]Sam[/name_u] might be an option, too.
