HELP! We still can't agree!

We’re still trying to find a middle name we both love for DD#2! First name is [name]Waverly[/name] - big sister is [name]Auria[/name].

DH likes (in this order):
[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Jasmine[/name] - He’s pretty set on this one right now.
[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Reese[/name]
[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name]

I like (in no particular order):
[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Jessamine[/name] - I like [name]Jasmine[/name] but I don’t [name]LOVE[/name] it. I think [name]Jessamine[/name] is lovely and sounds less “ethnic”.
[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] - Our last name is very long (11 letters, 4 syllables) so I prefer the simpler spelling - it’s still a lot of syllables though.
[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Reese[/name] - This may seem like the obvious choice because we both like the name but since [name]Waverly[/name] and [name]Reese[/name] are both androgynous names, I think we need to maybe save [name]Reese[/name] and choose something more specifically feminine.

There are a handful of other names I like that DH said “no way” to immediately:
[name]Violet[/name] (I love!)
[name]Elise[/name] - [name]Elizabeth[/name] is a family name on his side so I thought this could be a sweet but less direct way of honoring that.
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Carys[/name]/[name]Karis[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Celeste[/name]
[name]Vera[/name]

I guess at this point I’m just looking for any kind of feedback… opinions on the ones we like, suggestions for alternates, a magic solution to agree on a mn once and for all! Or just help me fall in love with [name]Jasmine[/name] so DH can have his way! We’re now in the 3rd trimester so I’m feeling the pressure to figure this out!

[name]Jasmine[/name]'s never been a favorite of mine, but if you can talk yourself into it, sometimes it’s good to let the men have a pick… as long as you got your ideal first name! My niece is [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Rose[/name], and I think it’s beautiful. It may be a bit too common for you but I do like the idea of a one syllable middle, having 3 in the first and 4 in the last. [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Reese[/name] is also nice but I see your point about wanting to stay feminine. Since you both like [name]Isabel[/name]/[name]Isabelle[/name], what about taking the end of it and choosing [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Belle[/name]? Means beautiful… can’t get much more feminine than that

Wow I feel your pain, it’s tough to disagree especially this late in the game! Let me just start by saying that I love [name]Waverly[/name] and I think it goes really well with [name]Auria[/name] I think you should stay away from names longer than two syllables considering FN is 3, and LN is 4. Having a long MN, such as [name]Isabel[/name], is a lot of name for a little girl. [name]Just[/name] saying Wavery [name]Isabelle[/name] “Heginbotham” takes a lot of time, and imagine writing it out.

That said, from your list above I think I like [name]Reese[/name] the best, I see what you’re saying about it being androgynous but I really like it- and I would assume [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Reese[/name] is a girl.

I also like [name]Elise[/name], my middle name  I think it sounds good with everything, it is short, and it is feminine, which you’re looking for. [name]Karis[/name] fits this ticket as well, I think that would be cute! So does [name]Violet[/name], but this isn’t my favorite.

I hope this helps you! Good luck and congratulations!

I think [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Elise[/name] has the same sound as [name]Reece[/name], but gives it the overtly feminine feel you want.

Other options that seem to fit your style or have a similar sound pattern as your likes list:
[name]Brooke[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name]
[name]Coral[/name]
[name]Dawn[/name]
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Therese[/name]
[name]Patrice[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Julia[/name]
[name]Rose[/name]
[name]Tess[/name]
[name]Norah[/name]
[name]Adele[/name]
[name]Claire[/name]

I love [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Rose[/name], too ([name]Rose[/name] is my mother’s name), but DH said no way

I am in love with [name]Waverly[/name] now but it was a slight compromise in itself because my very favorite pick was [name]Everly[/name] which DH hated (because “it sounds like someone forgot to pronounce the ‘B’ in [name]Beverly[/name]”). With that said, I think that’s where my hesitation lies in letting DH have the last say on the mn, since I’ve already slightly compromised once with this childs name. It’s so hard to have to let someone else’s opinion matter so much - even though it is my husband, and the father of my children - because I’ve been obsessed over naming my babies for as long as I can remember! (My name is [name]Corri[/name] and I have a problem, haha!)

I feel like [name]Jessamine[/name] should be a perfect bargain but DH doesn’t care for it. He said it just sounds like I’m trying to make [name]Jasmine[/name] (his #1 pick) too complicated/fancy. Buh.

I do really love the name [name]Reese[/name] but I can’t get over the androgyny (probably being a person with such a name) of both names paired together. Maybe I need to just let that go. Either way, I think DH is so set on [name]Jasmine[/name] that may not matter anyway.

I agree that [name]Elise[/name] sounds pretty similar to [name]Reese[/name] but DH doesn’t care for [name]Elise[/name] in the least. Apparently honoring his family is not a concern whatsoever.

Thanks for the responses. I guess I’m just going to have to do some more soul searching (and or bargaining with DH) in the next several weeks! Maybe when we meet her something will click and all of my worries will have been for nothing

Can anyone help change my mind about [name]Jasmine[/name] sounding too ethnic? What are your perceptions of the name?
Theoretically I love that it’s a flower name (although maybe that’s too much nature paired with [name]Waverly[/name]) but as much as I love the Disney movie, I can’t make myself love it for my baby because it seems too far out for a german/irish/french/korean baby! I know to some people it’s “just the middle name” but to me it’s equally important.
