Help! We will have a nameless baby girl at this rate :(

Having a dilemma. We are expecting our 2nd child. We already have a [name_m]Harry[/name_m]. Not sure if this one is a boy or girl (love the surprise!) But if we have a girl the poor thing will be nameless at this rate!
The only names we can agree on is [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] (which I like but don’t love) and [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] which I probably prefer.
I love the name [name_f]Thea[/name_f] but my husband isn’t as keen. Also everyone I mention it to seems a bit underwhelmed which is a shame as it puts me off (even though I shouldn’t let it!).
What are your thoughts on [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and do you have any similar suggestions? Want something to ‘go’ with [name_m]Harry[/name_m].
Thanks in advance

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] are totally different to me. Out of these three, I like [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] best. I’m with your husband, I’m just not so keen on [name_f]Thea[/name_f].

I think these would make a great pair with [name_m]Harry[/name_m]:

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f]?

Thank you for replies. Not keen on [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] or the names on your list petrar. I kind of want a name that will be timeless and not little girly if that makes sense. Naming a child is so difficult!!!

I much prefer [name_f]Thea[/name_f] over [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] or [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].

Suggestions:
[name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]

Out of your three choices I like [name_f]Thea[/name_f] the best. Other variations on this name that I really like are [name_f]Fia[/name_f] and [name_f]Clea[/name_f]

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is pretty but oh so common. I met a little girl named Olivie the other day ([name_f]Liv[/name_f] for short). [name_f]IMO[/name_f] Names with a similar vibe to [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] are [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]

[name_f]Jessica[/name_f] is a beautiful dignified name and it goes really well with [name_m]Harry[/name_m]. I went to school with loads of [name_f]Jessica[/name_f]'s growing up (in the 80s!) but haven’t met many little girls with that name recently. Names that have a similar feel to [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] in my opinion are [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]

If you’re looking for a timeless name, I’d steer clear of [name_f]Jessica[/name_f]. That name is incredibly dated to me. I was born in 1990 and growing up, there were dozens of Jessicas in my class. The name just doesn’t do it for me.

I think [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is really pretty. Would elongating it help? What about [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], nn [name_f]Thea[/name_f]? What about [name_f]Olive[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]?

What about:
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]/[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessa[/name_f]

I did think about [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] as a full name but I actually really like [name_f]Thea[/name_f] as a standalone name. I think it feels like quite a strong name and not too ‘frilly’ if that make sense. Loving all the suggestions. My husband is very black and white with names and honestly don’t think we will decide on a girls one! One of us will just get our way in the end!

And yes totally get what you both mean with [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] being a 80/90s name. There were loads at school with me and I was born in 89

Another name I completely love is [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] but my brother in law just called his puppy [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]!!! Was gutted!

I agree that [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] (while a lovely name in its own right) is really dated - it would be like naming an 80s or 90s baby, like, [name_f]Linda[/name_f] or [name_f]Nancy[/name_f] (a Mom Name) to kids now.

[name_f]Thea[/name_f]'s so lovely! A shame that your husband doesn’t like it. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is a great name too. I still love [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] but don’t love its ubiquity these days.

You may/may not like:

[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] (possible nickname of Cesca reminds me of the sound of [name_f]Jessica[/name_f])
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]

[name_u]Meredith[/name_u]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Samantha[/name_f]

[name_f]Do[/name_f] u like any of these?

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is pretty too. I know a girl full name [name_f]Athena[/name_f] NN Thena which is similar. Like pp suggestion of [name_f]Esmae[/name_f], [name_f]Esma[/name_f] is also lovely. I am also a fan of [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] so will suggest them.

Good luck

I love [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], though both have been overused. They are lovely, and you should go with what you love.

[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f]- nicknamed [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Thea[/name_f]! What about [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] or [name_f]Thora[/name_f]?? [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] is a tad dated. [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] might be a fresher alternative.

I like [name_f]Thea[/name_f]! Oh well. Some others:

[name_f]Gabriella[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]/[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]/[name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]

This might have already been mentioned. I know you said you don’t like [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f], but do you like [name_f]Jessa[/name_f]?

You seem to like names that end in a. Here are some that would sound good with [name_m]Harry[/name_m].
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_f]Viola[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]

Others that match:
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]

[name_f]Thea[/name_f] reminds me of [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] if it appeals?
