I say [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]!
I think [name_f]Adele[/name_f] would be mispronounced — It also has strong associations with the singer.
I like [name_f]Adele[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]! For me, [name_f]Adele[/name_f] is just too tied to the singer. ([name_m]Don[/name_m]'t get me wrong, I love [name_f]Adele[/name_f], but her name will always be associated with her in my mind.)
I really like both, but [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] wins for me
Ohh… I love both names! Today, I’m going to vote for [name_f]Adele[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Adele[/name_f] sound perfect for sisters. They have a similar length, they’re both vintage, sophisticated and international. [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is a stunning elegant and bright name too. I love [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]’s meaning!

Thanks everyone! As a follow-up to this question, do you like [name_f]Adela[/name_f] better than [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Adele[/name_f]? [name_f]My[/name_f] husband is concerned about the connection to the singer and thinks adding an a on the end might help differentiate it. Also, I’m concerned that people will shorten [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] to [name_f]Stella[/name_f] (which I don’t like) or some other nickname which I don’t want. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think they will do that?
I think [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is a great choice and allows her more individuality than [name_f]Adele[/name_f], which is so tied to the singer. I don’t think STella is necessarily an inevitable nickname.
Adela is nice, but not as beautiful as [name_f]Adele[/name_f] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], in my opinion. I like [name_f]Stella[/name_f], but I think it is an avoidable nickname for [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Este[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Stelle[/name_f] are more likely to be mentioned. However, [name_f]Estella[/name_f] with an a would probably get [name_f]Stella[/name_f] a lot.
I don’t think [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] would be automatically shortened to [name_f]Stella[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought would be [name_f]Essy[/name_f] or [name_f]Stelle[/name_f]. I still like [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] better than [name_f]Adela[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f], though I do like [name_f]Adela[/name_f] better than [name_f]Adele[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]!
I prefer [name_f]Adele[/name_f]/Adela with [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. I just feel like [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] sort of blends into the back… Maybe it’s because they have similar sounds towards the end? Next to [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Adele[/name_f] feels stronger and sturdier, it definitely can hold its own.
The association with the singer doesn’t really bother me personally, and I find myself preferring [name_f]Adele[/name_f], but if it does bother you and your partner I would stick with [name_f]Adela[/name_f] (which is equally as beautiful!)
Congratulations
They’re both lovely but I prefer [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Adele[/name_f]. They sound nicer together.
*I actually didn’t think of the singer till I read the comments.
I love the soft and sweet vibe of [name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_f]Estelle[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Adele[/name_f], and I think it goes lovely with [name_f]Iris[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_f]Adele[/name_f]!
