Help with a new small business name (girl's name)

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] ladies,

I would very much value your input in helping me name a very small business. It’s just as a hobby, but I’m going to open a small online boutique, target demographic 18-35. I was thinking of naming it a cool girl’s name. Either first name, first and second names, or an adjective and first name. Any ideas on what a cool girl that age may be named? My girl’s name (I have one boy (IVF) and we are finished now) was [name_f]Holiday[/name_f] Darling, but both being word-names, it may just sound like two words chucked together. Opinions and ideas would be much appreciated.

Much love
[name_u]Lou[/name_u]

What about something fun based on your name? There are lots of brands with “[name_u]Lou[/name_u]” or “[name_f]Lu[/name_f]” in the name, like Lululemon, [name_f]Luella[/name_f] [name_m]Bartley[/name_m] (okay, that one’s just the designer’s name)… maybe:
[name_f]Lilou[/name_f] or Leelou
[name_f]Milou[/name_f] (“my [name_u]Lou[/name_u]?”)
[name_f]Lula[/name_f] ([name_f]Lula[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is the real name of [name_f]Holly[/name_f] Golightly in Breakfast at [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f]'s)
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f] or Louna
Lulua/Luluwah/Loulouwah (Arabic name meaning “pearly”)
[name_f]Luana[/name_f]

For a cool girl aged 18-35… hmm. I do think of [name_f]Zara[/name_f], like the Spanish company. Z names have energy and edge…
[name_f]Zoya[/name_f]
[name_u]Zola[/name_u]
[name_f]Ziska[/name_f] or [name_f]Ska[/name_f]
[name_f]Gala[/name_f]
[name_u]Billie[/name_u] (or another nickname-y name)
[name_f]Yara[/name_f]
[name_f]Twila[/name_f] (seems playful and Southern to me, like [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f])
[name_f]Soraya[/name_f]

If you’re selling vintage or going for a more retro theme, maybe something like [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], [name_f]Selma[/name_f], [name_f]Embeth[/name_f]…?

[name_f]Mariana[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] would be fun. So would [name_f]Marilou[/name_f]. I agree [name_f]Holiday[/name_f] Darling sounds like two words flung together. Also, thinking ahead, if your boutique became the next big thing and you were asked about the inspiration behind the name, what would you want to say? Related question - is there any imagery/feel you’d like the name to put across, other than ‘cool girl’?

Maybe something like

[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
Darling [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
Sweet [name_f]Meg[/name_f]
Gorgeous [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] Loveday
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]

Ceci [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Emma[/name_f]

I like the idea of _____ & _____ - e.g. Ceci & [name_u]Lou[/name_u], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] & [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Bea[/name_f] & [name_f]Clover[/name_f] . . .

Perhaps a melodic fn + short (word?) mn?

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Moon[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] [alliteration could work amazingly[
[name_f]Millie[/name_f] Moo
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]

[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]

____ Darling would be good, too. Or Darling ______ - say, Darling [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] (Darling [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]?!), [name_f]Anna[/name_f] Darling, [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] Darling . . .

Single artsy names like [name_f]Acacia[/name_f], [name_f]Parisa[/name_f], [name_f]Rowena[/name_f], [name_f]Sidonie[/name_f] could also work.

[name_f]Clover[/name_f]
[name_f]Liv[/name_f]
[name_f]Twila[/name_f]
[name_u]Laney[/name_u]
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]
[name_f]Corinne[/name_f]

I actually like [name_f]Holiday[/name_f] Darling, but if the fun wordy feel is not what you’re going for then I can see why that doesn’t suit.
I do like the idea of incorporating your name, or part of it, in there somewhere! I thought of [name_m]Skip[/name_m] to [name_f]Milou[/name_f], using a pps suggestion of [name_f]Milou[/name_f]. It’s a play on the words of the song [name_m]Skip[/name_m] to my [name_u]Lou[/name_u] my Darling.
I also like the idea of using one of your favourite baby names, a wondeful way to use a name you love but never will get to use on a child.
Darling Vespertine
[name_f]Holiday[/name_f] [name_f]Destiny[/name_f] (reminds me of holiday destinations, and such a pretty name!)
[name_f]Celestine[/name_f] Darling
Darling Ambrosine
Darling [name_m]Cymbeline[/name_m] (I’m going with the -ine ending names with Darling, because they remind me of the song Oh My Darling [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. I think that would make them catchy, easy to say and remember)
[name_f]Alouetta[/name_f] [name_f]Holiday[/name_f]
[name_f]Cloudy[/name_f] [name_f]Holiday[/name_f] ([name_f]Alouetta[/name_f] and [name_f]Cloudy[/name_f] contain -lou- in them)

And just a few cool names with -lou in them:
[name_f]Cloudy[/name_f] [name_f]Alouetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Alouette[/name_f]
[name_f]Angelou[/name_f]
[name_u]Willoughby[/name_u]

Good luck with your boutique and finding a name!

[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
I also love [name_f]Cloudy[/name_f] [name_f]Alouetta[/name_f], suggested by columbiacharm.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]?

I like [name_f]Cloudy[/name_f] [name_f]Alouetta[/name_f] as well, it has a nice flow to it. It would help to know what kind of boutique? Vintage? Handmade? Curated Collection?

While I don’t dislike the name [name_f]Holiday[/name_f], if it was in the name of a store I would assume they sold [name_f]Holiday[/name_f] items, which may or not be an issue, just some feedback.

I’m personally a fan of the “word - name” combo, I feel like they are easier for people to remember rather than a & type name. I also thing alliteration helps people remember names.

Always [name_f]Alouetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilac[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]

And this doesn’t follow my own “rules” but I’ve always loved how Calamity [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sounds together, and I think [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] have a similar feel that is like, movement followed by calmness.

Because it’s a family name I have often considered [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] for a business name .

There are other names that could work such as [name_f]Joy[/name_f] or [name_f]Hope[/name_f] . [name_f]Verity[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. All are virtue names of course but could be a good fit depending on the nature of the business.

Have you though of having an and between two names? I personally love how this sounds for a boutique!
Some ideas:
[name_f]Annie[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
[name_u]Haven[/name_u] and [name_u]West[/name_u]
[name_f]Mara[/name_f] and [name_u]Jules[/name_u]
[name_f]Callie[/name_f] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]May[/name_f]
[name_u]Taylor[/name_u] and [name_u]Blue[/name_u]
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Brooke[/name_u]

So much genius, there are a few I adore. I will play around and let you know how I go. I very much appreciate your help. x
