I am due with my first baby in [name_f]February[/name_f] and its a girl! I am extremely indecisive and have a hard time making up my mind. I like unisex names, unique names (but not too far out) and I like names that have meaning. I have somewhat narrowed it down and it seems [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Joelle[/name_f] are my “top 2”. We would call [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] “[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]” and [name_f]Joelle[/name_f] “[name_u]JoJo[/name_u].” However, I am not a fan of how popular [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] has gotten and I feel like everyone is naming their kids [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]! Not many people seem to like [name_f]Joelle[/name_f]- so I am open to other names in my list. Here are my top 10 or so- please tell me what you think but positive comments only
(No particular order)
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Joelle[/name_f] (Means Jehovah is God")
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] (Family name- coming from [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]/ [name_f]Peggy[/name_f])
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Michelle[/name_f] (Means “Who is like God”)
[name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]? It’s got the same [name_m]French[/name_m] feel as some of your other names, and though she’ll be born in [name_f]February[/name_f], I still think of it as a generally winter-time name. And it seems like the religious theme is something you like, and of course [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] makes most think of Christmastime–>birth of [name_m]Christ[/name_m].
Other suggestions:
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (meaning ‘Jehovah increases’)
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u], new to the unisex names: ‘Jehovah is God,’ also variant [name_u]Elia[/name_u]
[name_u]Neriah[/name_u] (meaning ‘light of Jehovah’)
[name_u]Jean[/name_u]/[name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] ('God is gracious)
[name_f]Calanthe[/name_f] (kuh-LAN-thee, meaning ‘[name_u]Christmas[/name_u] orchid’, and of course, [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] deriving from [name_m]Christ[/name_m])
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f] (meaning ‘lion of God’)
[name_f]Lisette[/name_f] (meaning ‘pledged to God’)
My favorites are [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], [name_f]Joelle[/name_f], or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. Good luck!
I like it too- My mother’s maiden name is “Tedder” I think it is cute but no one else seems to like it I posted another forum about [name_f]Teddi[/name_f] and it got a lot of “hate”
I like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f], but both are pretty popular.
[name_f]Joelle[/name_f] – the only one I know was on the Bachelorette It sounds southern (US) to me, which could be good or bad. I prefer [name_f]Joanna[/name_f], “god is gracious,” or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] – cute but might not wear as well into adulthood. You could use it as a nickname for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] – pretty. I also like [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]–classy but uncommon.
[name_f]Michelle[/name_f] – classic and not too common nowadays
