[name_f]My[/name_f] friend is having her first daughter (due right around christmas) and she wants to name her [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]. Partly because of their french heritage and also because [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] is a highly cherished holiday in their family. [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] means “born on christmas” roughly. She dosn’t like the names [name_f]Holly[/name_f] or [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]. So far for middle names she wants to try and keep with the french and christmas themes.
What do you think of those names/ do you have any suggestions?
Just a fun side-note: baby Natalie’s cousin was born on the fourth of July and she is called Georgia Liberty. I think the holiday themes are super cute bc they are more subtly referenced.
I like [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] too.
Other ideas:
Natalie Beatrice (She who brings happiness)
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Blanche[/name_f] (white, obviously associated with christmas)
Natalie Celeste (Meaning of the sky, heavenly)
Natalie Claire (bright, clear)
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f] (possibly means star, biblical name)
Natalie Eve (I think the name is used in France too. Any other variation can work)
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Frostine[/name_f] (didn’t know the name existed, but nameberry says it does, so…)
Natalie Nadine (Particularly cool alliteration, means hope)
Natalie Roxanne (bright, dawn)
Thank you! I really liked [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f], i think my friend will too! I think she will be more flexible with the middle name being of french origin. [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] > [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f] imo.
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] is such a lovely name. I like [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], and pp’s suggestion of [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f]. I don’t care for [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] because of the matching endings, plus [name_f]Marie[/name_f] dates [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] a bit.
No suggestions from me, just here to say [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is wonderful! [name_f]My[/name_f] sister was born on [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] [name_u]Day[/name_u], [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] babies are the best.
I love [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]! It’s so warm and cuddly in a Christmasy sort of way. [name_f]My[/name_f] sister is a [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], and my MN is [name_f]Marie[/name_f] (ironically, I don’t like [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f], though–the “ie” endings are just too similar for me. Then again, I don’t like that my own name–[name_u]Ashley[/name_u]–does the same thing with [name_f]Marie[/name_f], so obviously some people think it works!), so I’ve always liked [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] names in her honor, to sort of continue the [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] (and [name_m]French[/name_m]) tradition. What about:
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] ([name_f]Joy[/name_f] isn’t [name_m]French[/name_m], but I do like it a lot)
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] Jasperine ([name_m]Jasper[/name_m]'s a version of one of the Wise Men, [name_m]Caspar[/name_m]/[name_m]Gaspar[/name_m]/[name_m]Gaspard[/name_m], and Jasperine’s the feminine form)
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u]
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]
