What are girl names that are classic and original but never reach the top?
Are there some pretty and sweet girl names that stay their popularity at a certain level during the whole history?
I like vintage girl names like isabella, scarlett, matilda, violet…but those names are the hottest now, and will definately be trendy in a few years.
I just wondering if there are some sweet and innocent girl names that may not be loved by the huge public but still have their own appeal.
What I have checked out is [name]Serena[/name], it’s original and pretty with a good meaning and ranked about 300 on the list in US for quite a few years.
[name]Do[/name] you know other names like that? Or do you know any search engine that can help me find that?
Here are some names with a similar feel to the ones you listed:
[name]Emilia[/name] (nickname suggestions, [name]Emmie[/name] or [name]Mia[/name])
[name]Virginia[/name] ([name]Ginny[/name])
[name]Charlotte[/name] ([name]Charlie[/name], [name]Lottie[/name])
[name]Valentina[/name]
[name]Ava[/name]
[name]Clarissa[/name]
[name]Claire[/name]
[name]Alberta[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name]
[name]Rosa[/name]
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Francesca[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name]
I’m in exactly the same boat. Have always loved the name [name]Olivia[/name] but it’s so popular I can’t use it. I really love [name]Genevieve[/name] and it isn’t on any of the top 100 lists that I’m aware of. I wanted to use it but my husband said he’d probably shorten it to “[name]Jen[/name]”, which would have caused endless arguments. The names “[name]Seren[/name]” (Welsh for star), and “[name]Carys[/name]” are also very pretty, in my opinion.
[name]Hi[/name]?I’ve considered [name]Genevieve[/name] as well, and i don’t like it to be shorted to [name]Jen[/name] or [name]Jenny[/name] either. lol
It seems every name has its downside, but i’m trying to find the one that i can bear its bad side.
I’ve heard of [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Evie[/name] being used as nn for [name]Genevieve[/name] which I think is adorable. Though it might be a bit of a stretch
