Would love some berries honest opinions on combo [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is set in stone in first name place and I’m struggling a bit with middle name. [name_m]Prior[/name_m] to pregnancy I had dreamed up all sorts of incredible whimsy combinations but very few ‘feel’ right for this little girl now I’m actually pregnant! [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is very meaningful for us, has the right ‘feel’…,the no frills feminine strength & simplicity I’m looking for while still being romantic due to it’s legendary connections.
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is probably the only serious contender at this stage but as I mentioned in another post, while I love the imagery of ‘dawn rainbow’ and it also has the right feel…i think it may be little ‘r’ heavy.
Would also love any other suggestions you may have of strong yet feminine names like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] that can hold their own next to [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
Thanks for the suggestion! It’s the meaning and rainbow imagery that I love so much with [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. [name_f]Isis[/name_f] is pretty but doesn’t appeal to me so much.
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is a great option but it depends on the last name.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about:
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
I think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is perfect. Short to balance the longer first name, and without the added R sounds. I also like that it begins with a consonant, since [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] begins and ends with a vowel.
I prefer [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] to [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] sounds better with a mn that begins with a consonant and has no r’s.
I don’t really care for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. It feels mismatched.
I like the meaning of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f], and I, personally, love repeated sounds, so while it IS ‘r’ heavy, that sounds nice to me.
I think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is a beautiful suggestion.
Others:
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Helen[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_u]Avery[/name_u] (I know this is a bit ‘a’ heavy, and it starts with the same letter it leaves off on…a lot of problems, but I think [name_u]Avery[/name_u] has the strong feel of [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] that you’re looking for)
I think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is lovely! I agree with your concerns about all of the "r"s in [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f].
Thanks for the feedback berries.
Particularly liking suggestions of
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] (actually a meaningful family name for us but maybe weird for [name_f]Non[/name_f] [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] baby?)
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] & [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
Prefer the no frills spellings of these two… Really [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the sound & style of both though I’m lacking a personal connection )
I really want to like [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], but I can’t get into it. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is nice, but even being “R” heavy, I still vastly prefer [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. I like the imagery I get with an “M” middle right after [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (which probably explains why, once upon a time, [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] was on my own list!). [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f], but what about:
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Greer[/name_f] (not sure if you’re into the unisex thing or not, but I think [name_f]Greer[/name_f]'s fantastic, and I don’t even like unisex names, for the most part! :))
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Tess[/name_f]
Very happy to get such positive feedback on [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]… Aside from it being a very meaningful, personal choice for us… I do love how [name_f]Meave[/name_f] adds a strength to [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] without compromising it’s femininity or magical qualities.
Thanks for the other suggestions too I particularly like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]… They are gorgeous but do not feel quite right for this babe…
