We are expecting a girl in [name_u]July[/name_u], will be a sister to our son [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m]. We are having a difficult time coming up with names that we really like that will also go well with [name_m]Graham[/name_m]. As our last name starts with a P, we would prefer no P names.

I would prefer not a super popular name…which I believe [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] have become more popular in the last year.
The other hurdle is a middle name. [name_m]Robert[/name_m] was an easy choice for our son as it is my dad’s name. But for a girl, we don’t have a lot of family names we really like and husband has vetoed using any of my mom’s names so as to avoid hurting his mom’s feelings. Great Grandma name options are [name_f]Helen[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellen[/name_f], but neither of these seemed to go well with any of our current first name likes.
Open to any and all suggestions, please help!
I’m in the same predicament - we also have a [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] and we’re expecting a little girl in the fall! Like you, we’re tempted by [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], but it doesn’t flow well with our last name. It’s so hard finding another hidden gem like [name_m]Graham[/name_m]!
I like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] & [name_f]Camille[/name_f] best from your list.
Middle names: [name_f]Elena[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], [name_f]Heloise[/name_f], [name_f]Eleni[/name_f], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]
Other first names:
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Harlow[/name_f]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]'s the really popular one here, if you take into account all the variant spellings. There was a blog post on this recently - [name_f]Adalynn[/name_f] and variants actually came out at number 9: Baby Name News | Nameberry
It’s true that [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] are trending right now, but honestly all of your favourites are rising. You obviously have great taste!
I’d try not to worry about it too much. Apart from [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f], none of these are wildly popular at the moment, and you can never tell what will happen in the future. A celeb birth announcement could boost [name_f]Margot[/name_f] way up the rankings, or [name_f]Camille[/name_f] may turn out to be pretty popular in your area, despite being quite rare across the country. [name_m]Just[/name_m] pick what you love, and you shouldn’t regret it.
From your list, I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Camille[/name_f] are all perfect with [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m]. All three have the same old-fashioned, buttoned-up, off-the-radar feel to them. For combos with the honour names [name_f]Helen[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellen[/name_f], how about:
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f] (hel-EEN)
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f]/[name_f]Nellie[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elin[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] (same meaning)
[name_f]Camille[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] (he-[name_m]LAY[/name_m]-na)
[name_f]Camille[/name_f] [name_f]Heloise[/name_f]/[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
I know, I just love the name [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and it has been difficult to find a girl name that we like just as well. Good luck in your search as well!
