Haha, [name]Sabrina[/name] the Teenage Witch! I did love that show. I like both names but I most likely wouldn’t use either, and definitely not both!!! I don’t know how to explain what I mean about [name]Sabrina[/name], though. It’s something about how she feels more than the actual name itself.
I don’t like the name [name]Margaret[/name] at all, funnily enough. I do like [name]Marguerite[/name], but I prefer [name]Margo[/name] on her own. I wouldn’t use [name]Margo[/name] and [name]Rita[/name], because I think that’d be odd. I think [name]Rita[/name] would be a very unexpected choice and I’d definitely be charmed if I met a little one with that name… I’ve long liked it but it’s never made it so far as to be a true contender, and it probably never will be. If I were going for that sound, I prefer [name]Anita[/name]… but [name]Anita[/name] [name]Becker[/name] sounds like “I need a pecker!”
I do love [name]Norah[/name], though. I’ve always loved her but always thought she wasn’t special enough. But I have nothing but positive associations with it. I’ve thought about it as a nickname for [name]Eleanora[/name], though I’m not a huge fan of the name [name]Eleanora[/name]. I do have 2 prominent ancestors named [name]Eleanor[/name] though, so that connection is a big plus (one is [name]Eleanor[/name] of [name]Aquitaine[/name], the first bearer of the name). I kind of like [name]Margo[/name] and [name]Norah[/name] together since they could both be nicknames for more formal names. I think their perfect match would be [name]Eliza[/name].
[name]Gwendolen[/name] is a great name. And you are right, I do like frilly names. I don’t know if this will make sense to you at all, but I’ll try to explain. I think I’m pregnant (still don’t know, though) and I feel like the baby already has a distinct personality, and it’s not frilly! This probably sounds NUTS but I can tell when I ovulate because I love a new name. [name]Remember[/name] when I loved [name]Cassia[/name]? That was why, it was like it was that egg’s name, haha. See, nuts, right? I told you! But that’s how I feel and this little one does not fit a frilly name. I think I will keep [name]Gwendolen[/name] on the list for another baby, though. I really do love it and I think it would work really well for a daughter of mine.
[name]How[/name] funny that you say [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Sage[/name]! I had an ancestor named [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Sage[/name] and her name is one of my favorite in my whole family tree! Her relatives were [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Sage[/name], [name]Prudence[/name] [name]Sage[/name], [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Sage[/name] and [name]Chloe[/name] [name]Sage[/name]. All born in the 1700s, is [name]Sage[/name] a great last name or what? I think I agree with you about it as a first name, though. I like it for it’s similarity in sound to [name]Jane[/name], but it’s added softness and unusualness. It’s definitely always on the table as a middle name, though.
I’m glad to see some enthusiasm for [name]Bridget[/name]! I wouldn’t spell it [name]Brigid[/name], though, looks like Frigid to me and I definitely pronounce the T. I feel the same way about her as you do, I think it’s just a great name that is very underused! When I was little I named my triplet dolls [name]Bridget[/name], [name]Brooke[/name] and [name]Blossom[/name]. Haha
I don’t think I’d use [name]April[/name] as a middle name… unless maybe she was born in [name]April[/name]. I probably wouldn’t use it in generally unless she was born in [name]April[/name] anyway, not sure. I like it’s softness, though.
I am going to save [name]Gwendolen[/name] for another time. I’m still so stuck on [name]Margo[/name] that something like [name]Gwendolen[/name] just seems crazy right now, haha! But who knows what will happen in the future! [name]Wendy[/name] Darling from [name]Peter[/name] [name]Pan[/name] is my favorite Disney character, so I would love to have a [name]Wendy[/name] of my own!
[name]Gwendolen[/name] [name]Rita[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is great! [name]Rita[/name] [name]Louise[/name] and [name]Ann[/name] [name]Rose[/name] were sisters, so that’d be really sweet! The symmetry is fantastic!
Right now, my sibset looks like this:
[name]Dashiell[/name], [name]Margo[/name], [name]Lincoln[/name], [name]Norah[/name], [name]Griffin[/name] and [name]Bridget[/name]
[name]Dash[/name], [name]Margo[/name], [name]Link[/name], [name]Norah[/name], [name]Finn[/name], [name]Bridget[/name]
- [name]April[/name] would be the next choice. I am hoping that maybe [name]Rosalie[/name] will feel right next time. Or maybe [name]Gwendolen[/name]. I am more concerned with the names being right for the individual children than with the sibset. Though I would of course prefer a great sibset! I know that [name]Margo[/name] and [name]Gwendolen[/name], or [name]Margo[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name] don’t exactly go together. But [name]Margo[/name] would be nicknamed [name]Goldie[/name], and [name]Goldie[/name] and [name]Wendy[/name] are cute together, as are [name]Goldie[/name] and [name]Rosie[/name]. [name]Margo[/name] and [name]Gwen[/name] work too, right? If I did have a [name]Gwendolen[/name] she would almost certainly be called [name]Gwen[/name] or [name]Wendy[/name] 90% of the time.
[name]Margo[/name], [name]Bridget[/name], [name]Norah[/name], [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Gwendolen[/name]. Hmm.
