I love Batman a lot, and I like the idea of possibly giving a boy a reference to Batman, any ideas without making too obvious? I already have [name]Bruce[/name] [name]Wayne[/name] down.

He also has more informal nicknames such as B-[name]Man[/name] and Bats, but that won’t work, lol. I have other Batman related character names, but I’m looking for more options besides Bruce Wayne for an actual reference to Batman. To me there doesn’t seem a lot of options but maybe I’m missing something?

Yes, I have [name]Robin[/name] down too as well as Gotham, but Gotham is for a girl…never thought of [name]Gordon[/name]…could grow on me, lol Thanks [name]Knight[/name] is nice too. I was thinking more along the lines of specifically to Batman himself though.
I’m not sure if this is what you’re after, but perhaps a name of one of the actors who’s played Batman? [name]George[/name]? [name]Christian[/name]? Or whoever created the original comic (sorry, no idea there - my knowledge of batman isn’t great!)
Okay. Here’s the thing. I’m a nerd myself; I love [name]Lord[/name] of the Rings, Sandman, Firefly, the whole pantheon of geek media favorites. That said? I would not name my kid Bilbo, [name]Dream[/name], [name]Malcolm[/name] [name]Reynolds[/name], or anything else that explicitly references a fandom. These might be great role models, but children should have the freedom to develop their own interests, and not forced to inherit their parents’ obsessions.
That said, a name that references Batman obliquely might actually work. [name]Paladin[/name] and [name]Templar[/name] are old-school words for knight that could be wearable modern-sounding monikers. You might also want to look at the virtues Batman embodies: [name]Justice[/name] has a solid history and would fit right in with [name]Justin[/name] and [name]Jude[/name]. I’m also partial to [name]Law[/name], or [name]Lawson[/name]. [name]Victor[/name] is a great choice. [name]Valor[/name] is, bar none, my favorite boys’ virtue name. And [name]Judge[/name] and [name]Sheriff[/name] have a tough-guy Western vibe.
You could pay homage to the great [name]Alan[/name] [name]Moore[/name] by using either of his names (but not together, obviously). If I remember my [name]Bat[/name]-lore correctly, [name]Dick[/name] [name]Grayson[/name] held the title for a few issues; [name]Grayson[/name] and [name]Gray[/name] are both trendy choices, though I’d steer clear of [name]Dick[/name]. [name]Bruce[/name] and [name]Wayne[/name] are great names, if not personal favorites – but naming your kid [name]Bruce[/name] [name]Wayne[/name] veers into the territory of ridiculous, not to mention unfair.
For a girl, I’ve also been fond of the name [name]Hero[/name].

I was wondering the same thing! You favorite name choices are very unusual and those with definite gender associations seem to have all veered into the wrong category. While most on your list are not my style I’d urge you to consider reconsidering your gender designation for a few incl: [name]Draco[/name], [name]Loki[/name], [name]Thor[/name], Figaro and [name]Page[/name].
If you really want a names that refers to Batman why not choose something an interesting and wearable word that is used in a type of bat name? Some suggestions could be: [name]Salim[/name] or Desmondus? I think both would be great on a boy.
What about any of the other characters from Batman? I always thougth [name]Lucius[/name] [name]Fox[/name] was a cool name, you could use either [name]Lucius[/name] or [name]Fox[/name]?
