Help with Marin combos

Hi all, I’m working through my girl’s list and trying to narrow down which combos I like best. Today’s name is Marin. I am pronouncing Marin as MAH-rin, with the first vowel being quite an open-mouth vowel - more open than MAR-in. Almost approaching MY-rin. (See audio below). I met a lovely Marin about ten years ago with this pronunciation which is why it’s my favorite pronunciation and spelling of this name, although the others are nice too. I find Marin a really sleek, friendly, approachable, stylish, and somewhat international name and I want something that complements that vibe!

Pronunciation:

Now, I know exactly which combo is my favorite. I really love Marin Saskia. These names, to me, just fit together. The problem is that I also really love Saskia Marin. Obviously, these can’t both go on my list, so I am coming up with other middles that I love for both of these names so that when I do eventually choose, the other first name will have a combo that I like! If that makes sense?

I know it’s a lot… but any input is appreciated! Which ones are your favorites? Which don’t work at all? Why or why not? Rank them from fave to least fave, make a love/like/lose list, describe the combo with emojis or words, etc.! Bonus: Marin Saskia or Saskia Marin? Thank you!

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Marin[/name_u] gets my vote!! Very pretty and sassy, and I think that it flows nicely together as well.

Some stand out favorites:

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Gisele[/name_f] - [name_f]Pretty[/name_f] and unexpected!!

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Circe[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Circe[/name_f], feel like she retains a very magical quality when paired with [name_u]Marin[/name_u]

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_u]Cypress[/name_u] - A unique nature name that flows so well with [name_u]Marin[/name_u]!

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] - [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] and a little mysterious (in a very good way!!)

Least favorites:

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Ruthie[/name_f] - The R noise is just a little repetitive

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] - I feel like it’s almost hard to jump from the n sound at the end of [name_u]Marin[/name_u] to the n sound in the beginning of [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_u]Lindsay[/name_u] - These two names share a LOT of sounds

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_u]Julie[/name_u] - A little bit outdated is all

Best of luck!!

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Marin[/name_u] or [name_u]Marin[/name_u] Saskia!!! How to choose?! I think ultimately, with your pronunciation (which I like!), [name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] sounds best to me!

Of your list, I very much like:

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] - this has balance, elegance and flair!

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Athena[/name_f] - has the vibes and sass of [name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f], but means you’ve still got [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] for the first spot - and, it’s just as strong, but gentler in sound!

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] - again, that sass of [name_f]Saskia[/name_f], with the kick and spark, but this also has elegance, a hint of mystery

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Lisandra[/name_f] - this is distinctive, unexpected and bright!

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Lissette[/name_f] - zippy, sleek and stylish

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] - a different [name_u]Marin[/name_u] vibe, but I like it!! This one puts in mind the pale blue skies of summer evenings!

Ones that don’t do it for me:

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] Alix/Marin Astrid/Marin Eve/Marin [name_f]Ruthie[/name_f] - I find them a bit choppy and hard to say

[name_u]Marin[/name_u] [name_f]Coral[/name_f] - probably a me thing, but when I say it, it reminds me of maniacal or manacle or melancholic/melancholy

@winterlyricalfox @Greyblue thank you both as always!! Your posts are actually extremely helpful for me. Sometimes I have these giant lists of combos where they all sound good to me, so getting opinions from others really helps me narrow down which are actually the best. I have some food for thought to mull over which is exactly what I wanted.
