[name_m]Silvan[/name_m] might be more familiar spelled as [name_m]Sylvan[/name_m], but I like the look of [name_m]Silvan[/name_m] more for some reason. (I also like [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] more than [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f].) Plus, that’s the spelling that was used in LotR according to my hubby.

And thanks!

I like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Marius[/name_m] the best. I think the flow is best, it’s a nice way to slip in a significant name to you ([name_f]Mary[/name_f]) and I too love [name_u]Les[/name_u] Mis. I also voted for [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] but I don’t see any reason why you can’t use [name_m]Casper[/name_m] as a mn for this one? I wouldn’t hesitate if that’s what you like. I think it sounds nice and having used [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] as a mn for one of your other children definitely doesn’t preclude it. [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is nice, too, I just tend to think it’s a little thick on the whimsy. [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Silvan[/name_m] (which I didn’t vote for) would have been third choice for me. Good luck!

I love [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] and [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m].

I love [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Marius[/name_m], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m]! [name_m]Konrad[/name_m] and [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m] are great too. Good luck.

Thanks, everyone. Wow, [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] seems to be the runaway favorite so far!

@alp249: I wouldn’t want to use [name_m]Casper[/name_m] with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] anyway with the matching “-er” endings, but I know my sense of order would balk at the idea of using [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] and [name_m]Casper[/name_m], then not using [name_m]Melchior[/name_m] (the third [name_f]Magi[/name_f]) if we ended up having a third son. (I do like [name_m]Melchior[/name_m], but there are other names I’d rather use more!)
