[name_m]Just[/name_m] first of all, I’m probably posting this in the wrong category, but as my question still concerns girl names I think I’ll get away with it
This is quite an unusual request but I need help with choosing a middle name for myself. When I was born it wasn’t legal for me to have a middle name in my country but now I would like one to make my name more exciting. [name_f] [name_f]My[/name_f] surname is common in [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking countries, and has two syllables. Family names that I’ve thought about using are [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_u]Clarke[/name_u], but I’m not sold, it just seems so weird naming myself
I feel that names beginning with consonants work better with my name? Vowels at the beginning just make it sound strange imo but am open to suggestions.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] would be terrific, and choosing a family name takes some of the pressure off of naming yourself.
That said, it is your name. I think there’s something to be said for taking the opportunity to use something you really like, purely because you like it.
And since this is your middle name, really you can go as bold as you like, because at the end of the day you’ll still primarily go by [name_f]Anna[/name_f] alone.
Anna [name_f]Florence[/name_f] sounds really dignified and lovely. I don’t have any suggestions other than. Maybe you could ask close people you know a word to describe your personality and then get back to us and we can see if a name matches meaning
One of my daughter’s names is [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], named after her two grandmother’s middle names. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but she loves her name and sometimes goes by her nickname [name_f]Anna[/name_f] V. Good luck!
