Help with Middle Name

So for the last several years I thought I knew what I would name my future daughter - [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Nellene. Nellene is my grandmother’s name and I love the idea of honoring her by using it as a middle name. But now that I’m pregnant, the name [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is starting to really tug on my heart strings. The problem is [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] Nellene does not work at all. The only solution I’ve come up with is [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Nelle[/name_f]. Which feels… underwhelming. Idk. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it? I also thought of switching to [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] Nellene or [name_f]Josette[/name_f] Nellene, but I just really love [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. Does anyone have any clever ideas for how to make this work or should I just stick with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Nellene (which I do still like a lot)?

Ivy Nellene is beautiful! If you really want to use [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], I would go with [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f](e) . [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] Nellene also flows really well. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Nellene though.

Josephine [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Nellene?

If you use two middles, you can have your cake and eat it too! [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Nellene has a beautiful flow, and a really beautiful, peaceful vibe, as well as allowing you to use the names that you really love.

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Nellene is lovely! If you want to use [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], I’d go for [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f]/e, which works great in my opinion

@Araminty and @rosepip also had the genius idea of two middles!

Josephine [name_f]Nelle[/name_f] is beautiful! [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Nella[/name_f] could be another option or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f]

I urge you to use the first name you love the most rather than choosing one that flows best with the middle, otherwise I think you will have regrets. If that name is [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] I really do like [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f]/Nelle and it definitely honours your grandmother.

Josephine [name_f]Nell[/name_f](e) is a beautiful name

Use [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] Nellene. Not the perfect flow, but it is full of meaning and it’s a catchy combo.

Thank you for all your replies! [name_f]Happy[/name_f] to hear no one hates [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f](e). I am a little resistant to double middle names, but I’ll consider that as well! As it stands [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Nellene and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f] are the top contenders for my baby if it’s a girl!

Josephine [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] is cute. And [name_u]Nelly[/name_u] can be a form of Nellene
