[name]Just[/name] want to update my list. I’m getting pickier by the day and nothing seems to float my boat. I think I look at names so much that they’re all a blur.
I like different names that are not crazy (they wouldn’t get past the keeper anyway). Nothing heavy on ‘l’s. And nothing that has an obvious NN with strong ‘ee’ sounds as it will clash with surname – so [name]Maddie[/name], Ceely, [name]Penny[/name] – you get the drift. I don’t like unisex names, but I’m not a fan of anything super girly like [name]Aliana[/name], [name]Ella[/name]/[name]Bella[/name] type names either.

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Xanthe[/name], too–[name]Xanthia[/name] doesn’t really do anything for me, but I would love to see [name]Xanthe[/name]. I’m guessing that clashes with your LN, as well? Personally, I think something like [name]Xanthe[/name] [name]Penny[/name] would be cute, I don’t think it clashes too much, but many Berries are much pickier than I. Then again, if [name]Daphne[/name]'s on your list in your signature, does that mean [name]Xanthe[/name] could work?
What about something like [name]Hazel[/name] or [name]Fleur[/name]? [name]Fiona[/name]? [name]Zara[/name]? [name]Zinnia[/name]? I recently came across Adalind, I really love that, and I think it sort of fits your criteria but it doesn’t seem quite right. Hmm.
No unfortunately my sisters name is too close to Xanthia. But I like [name]Xanthe[/name] too actually. And [name]Fiona[/name] and [name]Adelaide[/name] are both in my immediate family.
Yep, [name]Zinnia[/name] is on the list. [name]Love[/name] it. And [name]Zara[/name] was a fave for a while - so you are amazing haha.

I really love [name]Xanthia[/name], something like Xylia maybe? Or [name]Zehava[/name] or [name]Zuzana[/name]? I am rather fond of [name]Zelda[/name], too.
For whatever reason I prefer [name]Lucienne[/name] and [name]Vivienne[/name] to [name]Adrienne[/name] but I am weird like that. I do like [name]Ariadne[/name]?
I like [name]Juniper[/name], which also puts me in mind of [name]Magnolia[/name] and [name]Jessamine[/name], pr. [name]Jess[/name]-a-min, which is a flowering vine I am fond of. ([name]Carolina[/name] [name]Jessamine[/name] is one of my favourite flowers). [name]Juniper[/name] also makes me think of [name]Rosemary[/name], probably for being an aromatic blue-leaved shrub, and [name]Briar[/name], which shares that nice -er sound ending without being an occupational surname.
[name]Juniper[/name] is my favourite, followed by [name]Paloma[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are lovely.
I don’t mind [name]Adrienne[/name] but it irks me that it peaked in the '80s - so while it’s infinitely better than [name]Tiffany[/name] or [name]Courtney[/name], part of me still sees it as an '80s name. Not sure whether this bothers you.
I dislike [name]Xanthia[/name]. I quite like [name]Xanthe[/name] and [name]Anthea[/name] is sweet but by adding them together, in my opinion, the appeal is totally lost. I realise it is legitimate, but it feels like the kind of name a tween would come up with - trying for something elegant, sophisticated and pretty but failing on all counts. Sorry!
