The protagonist of my futuristic novel is a fiery, speedy girl named [name_f]Fia[/name_f] [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m]. The boy she falls in love with is peaceful and very very smart. I love the name [name_m]Thackeray[/name_m] ( last name tbd). Would [name_m]Thackeray[/name_m] clash too much with [name_f]Fia[/name_f]'s last name [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m]? Or would one of my alternates ([name_u]Salem[/name_u], [name_m]Wolf[/name_m], [name_m]Price[/name_m], [name_m]Samson[/name_m], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], ???) be better?? Please help!
I think that Thackery clashes too much with [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m]. While those kind of coincidences happen in real like (“Oh, our names are so similar!”) it’s a bit confusing in books.
Off of your list, I like [name_u]Salem[/name_u], [name_m]Samson[/name_m], and [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]. [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] is probably my favorite.
[name_m]Thackeray[/name_m] does clash too much with [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m]. I think that [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] or [name_u]Salem[/name_u] would be better, although I think I like [name_u]Salem[/name_u] better.
[name_m]Thackeray[/name_m] and [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] are too close. I actually had to read it again to see they weren’t exactly the same. I like [name_u]Salem[/name_u] and [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], of the two I like [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] better. Some other ideas [name_m]Drake[/name_m], [name_m]Bowen[/name_m], [name_m]Heath[/name_m], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_m]Jase[/name_m], [name_m]Venn[/name_m] or [name_m]Jett[/name_m]?
I also think it clashes. [name_u]Salem[/name_u] sounds female to me, but I quite like [name_m]Ronan[/name_m].
Of course, you could just change [name_f]Fia[/name_f]'s surname - Hatcher would work fine with [name_m]Thackeray[/name_m].
